Tan sandals for wide feet?

Just that really! I live in my Birks because of my wide feet but now I've bought a few new dresses this summer I really need something a bit less clompy!
I wondered about these but there not exactly tan and they state normal/ narrow width anyway

Any ideas very very welcome!!

I really like those, but £75?! <weeps>.

I bought these from Sainsburys, mainly because I was shocked to find a pair of unadjustable sandals that fitted me straight off the supermarket shelf, even had to size down. But haven't worn them as I also bought a pair of rip off Birki gizehs from TKMaxx which I love.

I also really like these, didn't realise Teva made this type of sandal. But I assume they won't be wide enough as they aren't adjustable and they are out of my price range.

M&S have some really nice tan wide fit block heeled sandals. But they’re selling out fast. I think they’re a copy of some more expensive ones. Failing that Clark’s.

What about these - I got some similar from Next and they are very comfy

CallarMorvern Tue 12-Jun-18 10:24:21

Failing that Clark’s

My feet are too wide for standard Clarks ( and I'm not that wide). Their wide styles always used to be just the frumpy ones, it's odd as I have worn standard Clarks most of my life and my feet have shrunk (weight loss), yet Clarks are now too narrow and sometimes even too short🤷

teta Tue 12-Jun-18 10:40:04

That’s weird Callar. I don’t get on with Clark’s either but dd1 manages to find shoes to fit her ‘pizza’ feet.
I love Vionic shoes for my wide feet but they’re expensive unless bought in the sales. Fitflops also have some relatively acceptable tan sandals. Don’t Next and New Look do some wide fit shoes too?

funnyfoursome Tue 12-Jun-18 11:03:10

Ooh I like the TU ones Callar - are they comfy?? I love the Teva ones too but I'm rubbish in heels. I think I've worn my Birks for too long. I also have bunions - I could weep over my feet!!

funnyfoursome Tue 12-Jun-18 11:04:37

I will check out Clarks too. I think I really want these but the sole looks unsupportive and they are pricey ... hmm ..

What do you think of these? Possibly a but frumpy?

funnyfoursome Tue 12-Jun-18 13:13:34

Sorry bit frumpy I meant!

CallarMorvern Tue 12-Jun-18 13:52:12

the TU ones Callar - are they comfy

They are, though I haven't worn them outside, as I have another pair that I prefer. They are strangely long and I had to buy a 7 even though I'm a chunky 8, also the reviews say they are narrow but they swamp the lady modelling them 🤷.
I actually hate buying shoes. I obsessively patrol the shoe aisle in TKMaxx, in the hope I'll find something that fits my hooves.

funnyfoursome Tue 12-Jun-18 13:57:29

Haha I know what you mean! I think I will go in search of the TU ones though - thank you !!!

LapsedHumanist Tue 12-Jun-18 15:29:12

Try Asos and Dune Wide Fit ranges

funnyfoursome Tue 12-Jun-18 22:33:43

Thanks lapsed! Have ordered the Clarks ones - let's see!

Do you like Saltwaters? I have very very wide feet (far too wide for the slider Birkenstock) but the 'Classic' saltwaters are perfect as they have the buckle that means you can change the width. They come in Tan.

funnyfoursome Wed 13-Jun-18 12:20:57

Tiptowin I have been lusting over Saltwaters for ages! I didn't know about the buckle thanks! I just thought they might be too flat as I need arch support?

funnyfoursome Wed 13-Jun-18 12:22:45

Tiptowin - are these the ones you have?

How about fitflop? There are lots of different styles and they are having a sale at the moment.

Mrs9C Wed 13-Jun-18 14:56:56

Saltwaters are very flat, I get backache after wearing them, or even birks. Wondering about those heeled birks, I think they'd maybe give me more back support, or am I just looking for an excuse of why I need them grin

funnyfoursome Wed 13-Jun-18 17:09:46

They are lovely aren't they Mrs9C!!

goose1964 Wed 13-Jun-18 20:31:27

Pavers are wide

tiptowin Thu 14-Jun-18 09:57:24

funnyforsome No, they are the original, you need the classic with the buckle on the actual foot.

I got mine from here - www.gentlyelephant.co.uk/products/salt-water-classic-tan

tiptowin Thu 14-Jun-18 09:58:20

Mrs9C - yes, they are flat and I usually need more arch support but once broken in, I've found them really comfy. And I walk miles in mine.

IToldYouIWasFreaky Thu 14-Jun-18 10:04:54

I have got my eye on these M&S Gladiator ones for something less clunky than Birks to wear with dresses. I have tried them on and they are very comfortable and less frumpy in real life!
