Too old for this?

Hi. I'm wondering if I'm too old to wear this dress? www.lulus.com/products/seaport-mustard-yellow-tie-front-dress/599702
I'm 34. 5'4". I'm pretty fit and look young for my age. I don't have any girly girl friends so I have no idea how to dress when it comes to girly clothes. I usually just buy what I like and don't worry about it, but as I get older I start worrying about these things... 😊

Not too old but that is pretty grim and would look good on no one.

Awful dress. Looks good in theory because the model is beautiful but in real life on an actual person?

No. Just no.

I actually own it and its adorable on. The people who reviewed it all thought so too... Just wasn't sure if I was too old.

I would expect that sort of dress (style & fabric) to be worn by 18-24 year olds. However if you like it then go ahead.

I thought it looked nice and if it looks good and you feel good then youre not too old. Unless you plan to wear it to work!

Where would you wear it? I think exposed midriff isn't appropriate in an office, but a weekend lunch at a beach cafe it could look ok.

On a beach over a bikini it would be appropriate. Anywhere else, not age appropriate imo

It would look great on DD (she is 17)

I say wear it! I am not sure on colour but that is just personal taste.
I am 32, I would love to have the figure and no stretch marks (thanks kids!) to feel confident enough to wear it!!
Why shouldn't you wear it? I am sure you will look fab! Smile

If you've got a great figure then fine as beachwear, but otherwise i'd avoid. And I say that as someone who eeked out wearing hot pants on holiday until 35 Wink

I love it. Tempted to buy it in the blue and white stripe to wear in Mykonos. Don't think I'd wear it here unless there was a heat wave and I was near a nice beach resort. What's the shipping like?

I think the colour and cut makes it look cheap but it might be better in real life.

Age isn't the issue it's the design.

I haven't clicked on the link because it doesn't matter what it is. If you like it, then you're not too old to wear it. It's all subjective anyway. Some people will look at you and think you look awesome and some people might not notice you at all. The important thing is that you like it.

It would look good on my 18 year old DD, but not in that colour!

Carry on doing that.
You're not too old for the dress.

Agree with other pp that I would expect to see that on 18 year olds on holiday cause it looks v cheap and er, cheerful holiday/beach type wear (appreciate it may well look far better irl) but you can and should absolutely wear whatever you like!

It's not to my taste.

But at 34, you're definitely not too old.
