Leather jacket - help me style it please

Puchased an All Saints black leather jacket in the autumn but have only worn it a couple of times through the winter and want to put it to good use now the cold weather is passed but have no idea how to style it. My wardrobe is blue skinny jeans ... and blue skinny jeans. I’m 5’7”, a 10 and reasonably slim ... and I need new jeans Grin. Should I stick to skinnies or give girlfriend jeans a try? What on top? My feet? I really need a wradrobe refresh and would welcome some help please.

Thanks.

Anyone please? It’s gathering dust in my wardrobe because I don’t have the blooming confidence to cobble a simple outfit together! Maybe it’s my age ... closer to 50 than 30 and trying to avoid the mutton dressed as lamb look.

What about wearing it with skinny jeans, longish t shirt/long sleeved t shirt and either Chelsea boots, ballet pumps or canvas trainers depending on the weather. It would look nice with a long lightweight scarf on a chilly day too. I'm not so sure it would work with girlfriend jeans. Could work over a long top/tunic with leggings or a maxi dress too I think.
Feel free to ignore me though as I live in skinny jeans myself and am stuck in a bit of a style rut!

Leather jackets go with most things. You're overthinking!
I wear quite simple tops under my jackets, I don't do frills and ruffles but some people pair ruffly dresses with their jackets, with trainers or heels. Don't do thick jumpers under the jacket, it's uncomfortable and looks too bulky imo.

Just don't wear the jacket on hot days - that looks a little silly and you will be too hot.

Also in my very very late 40s 52 and I wear mine with all sorts, it's not an All Saints one though, it was my best ever charity shop bargain, a tenner ...it's urbancode, whoever they are.

... we never have summer this far north so I often have it on in high summer over a summer dress just in case of a turn in the weather Sometimes with jeans, t shirt, converses or ballet pumps
I try not to go the full Chrissie Hynde with the jeans and t shirt, but really there's only so much you can do to avoid the aged rockchick look if it is a biker style :o Although mine is very fitted and very soft, so that negates the heaviness a lot.

If it is the sort of day when you might want a bit more than a cardi I tend to wear it tbh

Where do you live? I find I feel a bit odd in it shopping about in our small town high street or tesco, but in the big bad city (hahahadundee) everyone is wearing them so it just feels fine. Could you break it in somewhere hip and dudey and get over yourself? :o

The beauty of leather jackets is they go with most things. I used to love pairing them with dresses to look more edgy.

You’re right, I am overthinking! Thanks for the suggestions though. I think I just need to freshen up my tops, buy a new scarf or two (I hate my neck and I hate being cold!) and go for it. MsHome, I live somehwere similar to you ... I’d feel out of place wearing it in my little rural village but it’s great for days out in the big smoke. Thanks!

Rocky, I am wearing my black biker jacket today (late 40s) with skinny jeans (grey) and a black and white loose fitting breton top and random ankle boots (rain and puddles everywhere so don't want to ruin my nice new summer shoes Grin)

I'll wave to you when I see you in town Wink

I can't really think of anything which doesn't go with a leather biker. I've worn mine every day so far this week with: a white shirt and suit trousers, a midi dress, leggings and t shirt, today black jeans and cropped blouse! Rock it Wink
