Are these jeans flattering on me ?

Hi just got these 'farliegh' jeans from Asos.
Am so used to skinnies so thought I'd try something different but not sure if they're flattering or not . Prior to having dc3 I was so sure about my fashion sense but years of utter sleep deprivation and other issues have meant I've totally stopped bothering making an effort to even wear a nice pair of jeans so this is a big step for me .
Honest opinions plz . For the record am 5 foot tall.
Also what size / size range would you say I am ? My sister who dresses amazingly well always tells me I am going for the wrong sizes and that's part of the problem.

I really like them! They look great. Is it your top tucked in making the pocket areas bulgy? You look like a lovely size 8-10 to me.

I'd say size 8, I'm 5 foot and much fatter than you at an12 ... I can't see how anything would look bad on you . You have a great figure !

I like them. I'd say you're a 10 -12?

Really like them, would say a size 10? But am bad at guessing sizes.

They’re fine and I would say you were a 12.

Are they comfortable sitting down in?

They are lovely on you. I reckon you are a 10-12 as you look about the same size as my DD1.

No sorry. Look a bit bulky round the hip area, you have a lovely figure you would suit slim fitted skinny jeans more

They look great. You have a lovely figure. My styling suggestions would be to roll them up a tiny bit at the ankle and don't tuck in your top.

Thank you for your replies. I've tucked the top in just to make the top part visible. The jeans size is: waist 26 length 28. Had no idea what size to buy but asos have this thing where you enter your weight and height and it recommends a size for you.

They look good! I have bought a similar pair myself recently, after wearing only skinnies in recent years.

Btw, I think tucked in tops look good with that style..

To be honest, I think they don't fit you properly. Looks like they are too long in the waist so too much material at the crotch. I agree with your sister. They fit at the waist but too big on hips and too high for your length of body causing the excess material at crotch.

also, thanks for the lovely comments everyone. Was totally expecting to be told they/me were horrible.
I have literally no hips /waist bluntness and am straight up and down generally which is why I often struggle with sizing.

I'm fairly the same. I think uou need something that's about an inch shorter in the rise, they are just too long waisted for your body.

They look a bit too big for you except for the waist which is a perfect size.

Is there much give in the material ? When they stretch a bit they will look baggy I think.

uberqueen · 23/04/2018 13:55

Not much give I don't think . Being thick waisted with narrow hips is not the easiest combination !

They look pretty good except for the bulge around the hips - I would have said that they were a little small around that area, based on this photo.

Going by your height I'd guess you were a size 8 at the most.

I think you can get ones that are a better fit on you

Try River Island. They are quite forgiving on the waist, IMO. (speaking as a fellow straight up and down person)

You have a lovely figure and you could wear these but I do agree with others that slightly lower waist will fit you better and compliment your figure more then those.
