SPF and foundation - which combinations work together?

I've tried a couple of SPFs I've seen recommended on MN La Roche Posay and Heliocare but both have caused my BB cream to 'pill'.

What combinations of SPF and lightweight foundation/BB creams have you found that work well together?

Biore aqua rich watery essence is the best spf I've found that doesn't make foundation go all weird. Best to get it on eBay direct from Japan, usually less than £8 too.

I use Bobbi Brown foundation stick & tinted moisturiser (both of which are amazing!) & have used Clinique City Block & just today I’ve tried Ultra light La Roche posay which I think I prefer more than Clinique (La Roche is on offer in Boots at the moment). Early days though 😀

I use LRP Toleriane Ultra fluid moisturiser, Clinique City Block 40 and Sisley foundation. It's the only combination I've found that doesn't cause either my sensitive skin to break out or my foundation to 'ball up'. I also like that City block is slightly tinted so helps to hide the redness in my nose and cheeks.

@McDougal - I use Biore but I've been getting it from Japanese sellers on Amazon at £12 ish like a mug... I've not used EBay much & never for toiletries, how can you tell if it's genuine?

I use Boots soltan (for face) and Mac Face and Body. No pilling at all.

Joz Buy from a Japanese seller with good ratings. I've bought quite a few things from Korea/Japan and they've been fine, as far as I can tell! Avoid sellers from China, Taiwan and Malaysia if products are not from those countries originally.

Ive just bought Altruist sunscreen, goes on very well, disappears quickly into the skin and doesn't feel greasy at all. I don't wear much makeup but a lady on the group said it went v well under makeup for her. Sold via Amazon £7.50 for 2 x 100ml tubes.

Joz, I usually just go off the feedback and haven't had a dud yet. It's always a risk buying on eBay but it's a risk I take for a bargain Grin

I mention it loads but the Body Shop Skin Defence SPF really is amazing. I've used quite a few different foundations/primers/tinted moisturisers over it and no pilling/separation at all. Lovely and light.

Biore Watery Essence is excellent. I'm currently using Ambre Solaire Sensitive Advanced SPF 50 and it's great under make up. No stingy eyes either. I have dry skin though, and it's pretty rich and thick, so avoid if your skin is oily

I'm using Nivea face SPF 50 in the shine free version together with Estee Lauder DW. No pilling, face stays matte all day.

Bagel & Mcdougal - Thanks, I will definitely give Ebay a go. Biore is miles ahead of anything else I've used, I am pale with oily / combination/ sensitive skin.

I use biore and garnier bb cream, no piling. I think the biore gives a more matte finish than just the bb on its own.
