Recommend me a razor please

I have recently brought a Gillette Venus Swirl with a 5 blade head. It doesn't seem to work leaving me hairy and the blade blocked. I used the 3 blade version and had no problems. Should I go back to 3 blades? Get a new razor? Or am I doing something wrong with this one?

Haven't had any problems with it, perhaps it is the angle of the swirl one? What are you using it with? I buy any very cheap conditioner to shave with (usually a kid's one or one for greasy hair, heavier ones clog tend to block my blades).

I use shaving gel, tend to get what's on offer, not used this one before (Lidl one I think) but it did work with the 3 blade.

Gillette Fusion. It's a 'mans' razor. It's excellent.

Everytime I shave, I get nicks and an awful rash. The only razor I can use is the Wilkinson Sword Intuition with the build in shaving block. Legs are so smooth and no irritation or cuts. Just wish the blades weren't so expensive as each refil only lasts 3 shaves

Bic disposable sensive razors. Cheap and brilliant. I find especially good for knees and ankles. Mens razors of course.
