Really unimpressed with my brows (pic attached)

I posted a while back to say I was letting my brows grow out so I could get them done at the Benefit counter. I was getting them threaded for £4 but they kept doing them too thin!

£15.50 and I'm left quite unimpressed Sad

I specifically told the woman that I wanted them thick still but with a nice arch.

She's done the end bits far too thin and wasn't even going to apply some filler eyebrow make up until I asked.

I honestly let my brows grow to a complete state for this, and they're no better than when I got them threaded for less than a fiver.

I use to get them done at Benefit years ago and they're were always amazing.

They just look odd to me Envy

Oh and I never use eyebrow make up. It's just that they were ridiculously thin without anyway so I felt incomplete without

So so disappointed

I'm so sorry but I'd be fuming aswell!! I thought you'd only had one brow done :/

Sparkly I know right! I didn't want to say anything because she was a young girl and seemed too lovely for me to kick up a fuss

But I'm a little hurt that they're so shite.

that's why I do mine myself now. get decent tweezers and a good mirror and natural day light. threaders never seemed to listen .. gave up on hair dressers too.

they just don't have the time or motivation to really look at your face look at the growth pattern and customise their approach.
YouTube tutorials are your friend. threading is really easy and tweezing is slow but less painful and you can go slow.

so i would try to get them identical then let them grow out and take charge myself.

Lady it's a shame, because the woman who use to do them at Benefit when I lived elsewhere did them amazingly well. She was fantastic

I have terrible hand and eye coordination so I hope I can turn myself into a good brow artist Envy

I would learn to do you your own. I’ve never paid to have mine done, but mine aren’t very thick. If you get some good tweezers and be careful not to over pluck, do a little bit first and fill them in with some brow product (pencil or palette). Honestly a good brow product can mean you don’t need to do much plucking.

I'm sorry but they are shite. They're really uneven and heavy looking. I get mine treaded though and it can be a bit hit and miss. It really depends on the skill of the threader.

My eyebrow hair (like my head of hair) is so thick that I really struggle to do them and maintain them Sad

I thought by going back to Benefit, I would get a professional finish I could rely on. Obviously not and now I don't know where to turn apart from learning to do them myself

Why won't someone take my money and actually do them nicely?

The brow woman also kept complaining how thick and coarse the hairs were Sad

That is awful she was complaining about your brows.

I'd send that pic to benefit. I would expect them to be tidied up as best possible by a senior staff member, and I would expect a complimentary follow up after that.

I've (separately) had one dreadful hair cut, and one dreadful wax, and this is what happened both times.

Katy Thank you, should I email with pic to Benefit or Debenhams (the place they were done at)?

I hate complaining and possibly getting someone in trouble for my annoyingly thicker brows but I have to walk around like this and I feel a bit poo

I am trained in brows but to honestly see what she has done, we need a photo before to compare it to. Your brows aren't equal in the middle, but I don't know if that's naturally how they are anyway, if you see what I mean.

The browbar at HoF pissed me off mightily yesterday as well. I'm very fair and have ended up with dark brown brows and spots all over my forehead. And she was so focussed on trying to flog me stuff that I felt she just viewed me as a purse with eyebrows attached.

Hits here I am a week or so ago - Eyebrows obviously a mess but I think they're more or less equal?

Yeah you have a naturally nice shaped brow, you'd be better off just plucking the strays yourself next time. Maybe pencil in the shape you want until they've grown back.

Oh my goodness, she has completely messed your brows up then 😠
I'd be fuming!! They look lovely and only needed tidying up. Definitely complain, ask to be compensated with some brow products to fill in for now. Benefit only require level two beauty for brows so someone can come straight out of college having practiced 3 times to pass assessment. You're beautiful either way though! I agree with PP, just tweeze yourself or go off reviews or word of mouth for a specific person.

I'm trained in brows and they do look uneven and there's too much of a false high arch at the outer ends.
You have a lovely natural shape, I would just have taken off the underneath stragglers and not touched the shape at all. You don't even need them filling in if done properly by the looks from your photo.
Hopefully they'll soon grow back, try a wax with a good beauty therapist who listens to what you want

Those brows are not good at all, your natural brows are fab, just a wee eyebrow pencil to even them out, sorted.

Such lovely comments, thanks all Smile

I think it's back to the drawing board! A.k.a letting them grow out again Grin

DH was with me on the train yesterday and said "I have to say, those brows need sorting. They're incredibly messy" Blush

Now he's seen these ones he's said I should've just got them threaded for £4

Thank you pinky!

If I were to complain, shall I email Debenhams or Benefit themselves?

Feel slightly cheeky asking outright for free products to cover the botched brows Blush
