S&B rule breaking

onlyonaTuesday · 20/03/2018 22:27

So today I broke the ultimate S&B rule and had a mum bob hair cut and I also bought a pair of sketchers for a city break 🙈

Anyone else want to confess their fashion faux pas??

i am the ultimate rebel, i wear what i want, when i want and i don't care if it doesn't match or that i haven't 'properly accessorised it' nor do i care if someone else thinks i'm too old to wear it. Oh and I have long hair, almost to my waist and i am over 30 Shock

That's cool and Frenchified (actual real word), no confession there.

I have a gorgeous Hugo Boss silk shirt with stars on it. I wear it with stripy socks because it makes me feel like a clown Grin

@Count foso Channeling Mr Tumble Chic! Who knows... A la Justin could be the next big look Wink

Oh and mine is owning only one jumper I really like as it is 100% cotton and a good fit and then trawling ebay to find it in lots of other colours and buying them all. At least it is French Connection, so a bit of street cred!

@onenighttime... is Long hair over 30 deemed a faux pas?! I had no idea Blush

I didn't grow my hair out grey gracefully. I did it disgracefully with a full on badgerstripe that I wore in pigtails and French braids.

@Sitranced That is awesome! I am also hoping to achieve the cruella deville badger stripe. Got a few greys in the right spot for it so far.

My hair is also long, down to my waist and I'm over 50.
I wear bra straps that show and white bras under white t-shirts.
But the biggest one is I don't believe in bra intervention. Complete cobblers 😅

Visible panty lines. Why can't people see I'm wearing knickers under my trousers?

I'm totally with you on this one, it's just another stick to beat us with.

I wear things the second - and third - time around.

I don't throw out clothes if I haven't worn them for a year.

I don't care if I look cross.

I have never had my eyebrows threaded.

I'm almost 40 (well, 38) and having had a pixie style cut for almost 20 years, I'm now letting it grow. Apparently it's supposed to be the other way around.

I am short and I wear maxi skirts and dresses all the time (and I look good in them, I think)

Also
black with navy
gold jewellery
tall boots with shinnies
sometimes no bra (even though DD boobs)
nude tights

I cut my own fringe. Is that frowned upon?

I'm also 38 and growing out my pixie crop. I didn't know this was against the rules. But to be fair I'm always cutting it and then growing it
I wear leggings with dresses

I don't like 100% cotton clothing. I like a bit of synthetic material in my jumpers.
I cut my own hair
Thick bra strap under thin cami straps (I'd love thin bra straps but apparently at a 32G I need thick ones)

I wear dungaree dresses with stripy tops and dms. It's my signature off work look.

I love patterned tights and have been known to combine the dungaree dresses with the tights. DS 1 says that I look cool.

I've worn socks with Mary Jane shoes and they were green socks and brown shoes. #dont care

I wear leggings most of the year and wont be giving them up any time soon. I wear them with long jumpers/t-shirts, and with tunics - this is a particular no-no on here. Someone on another thread said that she finds "that the women who do wear them are the ones that really shouldn't. Not a good look." Well mine will have to be prised off my cold dead body. Judge away!

Dungarees Grin I LOVE them.
I'm a size 12 but wear a size 18/20 so they are super big and comfy. HandM have some great styles.
Best outfit to do your housework in as they don't fall down and your bare bum isn't waving in the air when you are cleaning skirting boards etc.
My kids hate them (I'm an embarrassing mum), my dh hates them (not my sexiest look haaaa) but I love them and wear them all the time
