Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser

Looking for a light coverage product for daily use as I find even my light coverage foundations too much . Is the LM tinted moisturiser worth the hype ? I have combination skin with some redness. Would you recommend this ?

Oooh watching his as I have redness too

Lottapianos · 19/03/2018 15:27

I used it a few years ago and found it very average. It was fine but definitely not worth the money in my experience. I use Rimmel BB cream now on light coverage days and it's marvellous

RiskIt4Biscuit · 19/03/2018 16:18

I also used it a few years ago and I wasn't loving it. I was happy with it for a while, but I stopped using it and never felt like it was worth using again. I ended up binning it as I never used it, and I haven't repurchased.

Just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean that it wouldn't work for you.

I generally love Laura Mercier products and I have found that they are happy to give me samples before purchasing, so I would recommend that you get a sample so you can make up your mind.

Just treated myself to some and not a huge fan. I have found it goes darker after I put it on and it doesn't give the 'me but better look' I was hoping for. The second point is probably more my fault than its. I prefer Boots No 7 CC cream.

BubblesBuddy · 19/03/2018 17:41

Both my DDs use it but both go to Space NK where they can compare it with other products. The make up artist applies it and you can see if it works for you.

Delatron · 19/03/2018 18:42

Yes, I love the primer and heard good things about the tinted moisturiser but couldn't get on with it. Interesting what you say about it going darker sonotkylie, that happens with me. I thought they had just colour matched me wrong. Annoying!

sweetmonkeys · 19/03/2018 19:01

See I normally rave about this stuff but in terms of covering redness, I wouldn't bother.

MaggieFS · 19/03/2018 19:14

I love it! I have pale dry skin with some redness but no blemishes and I use it in place of foundation. I don't use it everyday as most days I just use the cheaper Max Factor facefinity powder, but I find it perfect when putting a full face on. I bought it from Space NK the first time so got them to colour match me, which had always been my main struggle.

Interestingly enough it's exactly what the make up artist brought with her for my wedding make up. I am not into make up and normally just grab whatever is on offer from Boots, but this is now a must have for me.

thecatfromjapan · 19/03/2018 19:20

I love it - but I'm very pale and have yet to find one of these fabled BB creams that is light enough for my skin.

GayAllen · 19/03/2018 19:23

I find everything goes yellow on me.

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 19/03/2018 19:24

I have redness and LM didn’t cover it. Try Nars.

duckling84 · 19/03/2018 19:41

I swear by it. Definitely a me-but-better look but I wouldn't say it covers redness or spots or anything like that.

Lunaballoon · 19/03/2018 19:45

I like it but it’s my first experience with a tinted moisturiser so I have nothing to compare it with. I’ve also got pale skin so porcelain is a good match for me and I like the fact that it’s light and ‘barely there’ whilst covering up imperfections.

zestyflavour · 19/03/2018 19:45

I love make up and lotions and potions. Over the years I've tried quite a few B.B. and CC creams both branded and not, and I love Aldi's CC cream in medium (I'm medium tones with pinky hues) it's £2.49!!??? 👍
It's moisturising and the coverage is fab

GinIsIn · 19/03/2018 19:46

It’s not great. The NARS one is amazing.

NinjagoNinja · 19/03/2018 19:47

I use it and like it. I feel better in this than in foundation which feels too "done" for my daily life.

I wear moisturiser underneath though. It's just not moisturising enough on its own.

moonmaker · 19/03/2018 20:06

Interesting responses ! No major redness - probably only noticeable to myself . Nars seems quite popular too.

JDSTER · 19/03/2018 22:17

I’ve used Laura mercier before and use NARS tinted moisturiser now which I prefer. I got a good colour match, it’s oil free, artificial fragrance free and doesn’t clog pores.

SukiTheDog · 19/03/2018 22:31

Ive had three tubes of the oil free LM Tinted Moisturiser. I agree with the colour change. There are days it looks great and others when I look “made up” and a bit orangey. Not good. My latest shade is Bisque which is good.

I gave up on foundation after 50. It just makes me look tired.

ihatethecold · 19/03/2018 22:33

I like it but prefer liz Earle. It’s also cheaper.
£34 for tinted moisturiser is very expensive.

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 19/03/2018 22:43

Nars is also very light but a bit more buildable. So I put a tiny bit extra on the red areas, and lightly pat it to blend.

LadyBundleBrent · 20/03/2018 09:22

Nars Nars Nars

Nars Radiant Glow moisturiser - best thing EVER!

moonmaker · 20/03/2018 13:25

Will check the nars out - any recommendations for a shade match to a Mac nc20?
