Hi,
Was thinking of this dress for wedding at end of Feb;
cdnb.lystit.com/photos/a839-2015/08/19/chi-chi-london-navygold-high-neck-structured-skater-dress-in-baroque-print-product-1-657861815-normal.jpeg
(hope link works, couldn't attach pic for some readon)

  1. Is dress ok for wedding and
  2. Wedding is in a barn 😭 How would you accessorize/keep warm?

Thanks!

Lovely dress, totally suitable. I think it would look great with a fitted jacket - I’m imagining a sort of stand up collar, single breasted, which nips in at the waist along tube same line as the dress. You could also wear with knee high boots. IME barn weddings are very civilised in reality and no colder than any normal function room.

Gorgeous and completely appropriate dress. Barn will be warm, but be wary of the service if it's in a church. That will be freezing and I'd be tempted to wear ankle boots and cozy socks for the service (or even knee highs which would be warmer if not as fashionable with that dress) then possibly change into something more glam for the reception. I'd be tempted to go for a fake fur coat with that dress to keep warm when at church or outside.

Thanks for the tips! The older I get the more I fear being cold so am thinking socks, fur coat etc all sound good Grin

I have this dress - love it! Posted a thread about it back in the summer (www.mumsnet.com/Talk/style_and_beauty/2933904-Please-help-me-wow-at-this-wedding?pg=1&order=) thinking of wearing it again to another wedding in a few weeks. Only trouble is I really struggled to find something to wear over it - I ended up going with a bolero but I’m not sure if it was a bit dated, I like the idea of a nipped in single berated jacket. I’d suggest taking it with you and trying lots of different styles. I also bought an underskirt to puff the skirt out a bit and that worked really well.
