I've not thought about it and I'll probably be surprised but I wanted to see how much it all costs for everyday- this is not my entire collection.

Primer- Benefit Porefessional- £26
Foundation- MAC Studio Fix Fluid- £23.50
Concealer- Collection Lasting Perfection- £4
Brows- ABH Dipbrow Pomade- £19 but it's gone up recently.
Brow setter- Benefit 24 hour- £20
Eyeshadow- Urban Decay Naked 2 (or 3) Palette- £39.50
Eyeliner- Lancôme Artliner- £23
Mascara- Benefit Bad Girl Bang- £21.50
Lipstick- MAC- £16.50
Highlight- ABH Aurora Glow Kit- £41
Make Up Revolution Contour- £8

So my everyday look costs in total... £242 shockblush

Anyone else willing to tot it all up and share/cry?smile

Never tally up the cost of looking decent! It's always way more than a DH will think necessary!

GooodMythicalMorning Mon 12-Feb-18 20:39:43

£50 as it was a set (apparently worth that anyway, paid 25) I dont wear lot though.

userofthiswebsite Mon 12-Feb-18 20:40:40

Oh mine is much of a muchness.
But that's £250 for lots of uses so...

PS I think you missed out your blusher so your cost is actually higher :-)

PetiteMarseillaise Mon 12-Feb-18 20:43:36

Just the stuff I carry around with me on a day to day basis:

MAC powder £22.50
Chanel lipstick £25
NARS lipstick £21
NARS lip pencil £22
Lip balm £5
Total £95.50

If I include the base and eye make-up I use before I leave the house... easily another £100. It's terrible really.

Callamia Mon 12-Feb-18 20:44:37

I think I spend about £150 per year on make-up. I feel ok about that.

I spend about the same on hair care, which somehow I feel less good about.

PetiteMarseillaise Mon 12-Feb-18 20:44:44

It would be more if I included the cost of make-up brushes! And let's not get into skincare & perfume...

ABuckToothedGirlinLuxembourg Mon 12-Feb-18 20:55:01

Primer: hourglass mineral veil £55

£372. OMG!!!! Wish I’d not added this up now!

Opheliasgoldenwine Mon 12-Feb-18 20:57:34

I forgot!

Powder- Laura Mercier- £20
Blush- Bare Minerals- £21.50

FabalaTheGreenGirl Mon 12-Feb-18 21:18:58

Today's look:

Eve Lol primer, £5.99 in TK Maxx
The Ordinary Serum Foundation, £5.75
Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo £6
MUA eyeshadow single, £1
Illamasqua Precision Ink Eyeliner (best eyeliner in the world) £21
High Impact brow palette (got in a beauty box so about £4)
Beauty Pie Eyeliner £2.50
Lush Solid Lipstick £15
Beauty Pie One Powder Wonder finishing powder £5

About £60-ish. Yikes.

FabalaTheGreenGirl Mon 12-Feb-18 21:19:44

Eve Lom not Eve Lol.

Gah81 Mon 12-Feb-18 21:29:25

Foundation - £60 (Chantecaille)
Concealer - £32 (Laura Mercier)
Mascara - £21 (Lancome Hypnose)
Mattifier - £28 (Becca)
Eyeshadow - £62 (Tom Ford)
Lipstick - £28 (Chanel)
(Sometimes) eyeliner - £18 (Bobbi Brown)

Aside from some Chanel powder which I never use, and a few more lipsticks, that is all the makeup I own. I wear it every day and replace when it has run out but bloody hell, it adds up!

Gah81 Mon 12-Feb-18 21:30:16

Forgot blusher - £16 - Liz Earle.

littlepill Mon 12-Feb-18 21:31:29

Nooo! Everyone knows you should add up and divide by number of products in aforementioned bag. Get an average per 'piece'. I also like to work out my hourly rate and tally against said average...

halfwitpicker Mon 12-Feb-18 21:32:15

I'm a cheapskate I really am.

Rimmel foundation - £5
Rimmel powder - £4
Maybeline mascara =£4
Eyeliner, think its Rimmel =£4

So about £20

Also got millions of lip balms that are about £1 each - Blistex variety

FannytheW0nderDog Mon 12-Feb-18 21:34:04

£300 and I love every item in my make up bag. I totally ignore the 'use by' stickers on the powders in particular so if you work it out per 'wear' it's pence rather than pounds. I don't wear make up every day and I don't plaster it on but I wouldn't be without it. Mostly Bobbi Brown, No7 and some Bourjois.

IveGotBillsTheyreMultiplying Mon 12-Feb-18 21:34:23

Halfwit

That's my make-up bag you've nicked. I know I'm a cheapskate but that'sworse than me.grin

Gah81 Mon 12-Feb-18 21:34:32

Oh littlepill let's not do the average per piece. Mine looks even worse then... blush

littlepill Mon 12-Feb-18 21:48:14

Gah You need a £1 blemish thingy, or a concealer from the Pound Shop smile

flouncybeetroot Mon 12-Feb-18 21:53:00

Primer - either £10 boots or £26 benefit
Foundation- £15 boots
Setting spray - £8 L'Oréal
Mascara - £25 benefit
Lipstick- £27 Dior, or a cheap balm or gloss

So £ 101!! shock

Sailorjerrycherry Mon 12-Feb-18 22:00:26

Oh god. I added up what I use for basic work makeup and carry around my my handbag. I didn’t include the brush bag I carry with me or moisturisers etc. About £350. I feel a bit ill when I think about the contents of my makeup drawer would cost blush.

Everyday;

EL double wear - £33.50
Yash mac lipstick £15.50
mac lip liner- £13?
Kevyn auction skin sensual - £38
Armani sun fabric bronzer - £52
Mac blush in harmony - £19.50
Jefree star ice cold highlighter - £25.50
ABH dipbrow - £19
Illamasqua hydra primer - £34
Maybelline gel liner - £5
Huda desert dusk palette - £56
NYX - eyeshadow primer - £6
Rcma setting powder - £13
Mac mascara - £20

pinklemonade84 Mon 12-Feb-18 22:06:06

Too Faced Hangover Primer - £27
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation - £33

ConstantlyCold Mon 12-Feb-18 22:09:11

I know I’m not going to like this but .....

Aldi serum £4 (ish)
Double wear £33
Benefit concealer £23
Powder £6
Bronzer £35 (I don’t know what I was thinking)
Blusher £4
Eyeshadow £4
Mascara - Clinique £18
Eyebrow pen thing from Benefit £23

So £150.

I actually thought it was going to be much worse blush

pigeondujour Mon 12-Feb-18 22:39:51

At the moment:

Chanel primer £35 (definitely won't be rebuying this though, it's rubbish)
Chanel foundation £37
Chanel concealer £27 (again, probably won't rebuy)
MUA eyebrow kit £2.50
Glossier boy brow £14
Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow travel palette £26
MUA eyeliner pen £1
No 7 mascara £13
Rimmel bronzer £5.99
NYX highlighter £8
Glossier cloud paint £15
MUA lipliner £1
MUA lipstick £2

So £186.50. Not too bad really but I wear it so little it's a waste to spend much. (I'd welcome recommendations for a decent budget primer and concealer to replace mine when they run out!)

PorkSpork Mon 12-Feb-18 23:19:26

BB cream £12
Mascara £8
Lipstick £16
Eyeshadow £5
Happy with that.
