Someone’s hair drawer has the aroma of warm knickers on the chandelier - Lovely Friendly Perfume Thread 10

Welcome to the long running perfume thread. Discuss Scent of the Day, fave dupes and scents of ALL price brackets. You don’t have to spend a fortune and we will encourage you to get a sample first. That said, hiding your credit card in the freezer is recommended.

Old thread

We also have managed to get a 20% discount on a Perfume Society box and are discussing it on The Big Sniff.

Love the title!

Morning , I am basking in a day off (mopping house with Zoflora Cranberry and Orange) and think have finally found an AC that I can say a 100% yes to! Trefle Pur. Obviously, it's an AC so despite only putting it on an hour ago, it's almost gone, and if it had been Yardley we'd be thrilled at paying less than a tenner for it, but AC prices? Gorgeous though it is, it's still an Emperor's New Clothes light citrus summery scent.

My Eau Givree has arrived (speaking of light summer scents). Fab. All cologney and fresh. It will be worn lots this summer I wager.

What does AC stand for?

Hello all.

I was posting quite a lot on the Perfumista threads last year (name changer, but my name usually had a '3' in it).

I've gone AWOL a bit, as had lots on, but been catching up on the last thread and The Big Sniff over the weekend. All sounds tremendous Grin.

I've been going through an uncharacteristic and ridiculously intense Gourmand phase since December and may even have been enjoying some Pink Mingers. Grin

Hoppe you're all well (and fragrant)...and glad to be back!

Hello lovely 3 person! Welcome home!

Motoko- AC is Atelier Cologne. Last year we all did the sheeple thing and bought a (very good value it has to be said) sample set. You got a good 20 or so phials for about 30 euro, can well recommend for that price. DD (a budding perfumista) and I split ours, with the result that I ended up generally with heavy flowery oudy

Their website is //www.ateliercologne.eu. The Discovery Box is still available, at €30 for 35 samples. Postage and packing is free and you get €30 discount against a full bottle. Trefle Pur was my favourite too, although I still have some untried.

Welcome back, SoFancy!

Got a Bloom subscription for my birthday so in Panda (old formulation) today. Strong aldehyde hit at the beginning then softens into the florals and vetiver.

I also liked Trefle Pur although my favourite was Mistral Patchouli. Loved Vetiver Fatal and Pomelo Paradis as well. A very good value set indeed.

Ah. Here you all are. Thanks for new thread Pest

SOTD 4160 Sex Goddess for meeting in the Big Smoke, presenting findings to some very important people. A brave choice perhaps and though I’d made a mistake on the train because the sillage was so big, but it had settled down by the time we arrived at the building. A lovely sweet floral heavy on the Violets, which has a vintage powdery vibe- I really rate it and it’s turned into a lovely skin scent. Presentation went well - had a more positive response than I was expecting, all the hard work over Xmas paid off, so floating on cloud 9 right now!

Also heading back from the Big Smoke. This meant a bonus opportunity to try Bois des Iles, No.22 and 31 Rue. Really need to keep sniffing the cards to see how they develop...but the train is quite busy and I am attracting odd looks...

Good news, the rumour that some Les Exclusifs are being released in smaller bottles was confirmed. So might be worth hanging on rather than going for a split?

Evening all! Hello So!! Well done Bluebell and get well soon One.

I had a couple of meetings where I really needed to at least give the impression of having my stuff together so SotD was Coromandel.

MrsG what size?? I guess they won't be so cost effective in £ per ml terms but perhaps more accessible. Perhaps I can look at 4160s sale after all

Hello! SOTD is Miu Miu. Super tired after class cover - yuck - and then a meeting that I had to hang around until 6pm for. But in better news the PS emailed me to say they are sending me a replacement box, so yay for that.

That AC Discovery set looks interesting. Payday is Wednesday hmmmmm.
Are they dibdabs or sprayer? I’m useless at opening dibdabs, and usually end up spilling my preciousssss.
SOTD was going to be Agonist Dark Saphir, however the vial was empty. Aargh! I’m not having any luck with Perfume Society atm. So I grabbed a 4160 sample and the label has faded into illegiblity. But it was densely floral (deep tuberose and jasmine I think) with Woody undertones.
That was at 6.30 am and it’s still going!

Elise they are dibdabs. As PIAM said their longevity is fairly pants so you need a decent amount. I took to putting some on my bra to improve sillage and longevity. They are charming though.

Cheap did you ever get your PS subscription box? Think I'm going to have to email them.
