Good quality everyday Matt eyeshadow

I need a new everyday eyeshadow. Currently been using No7 but may have a allergy to it and don't like the shimmer in it anyway. Usually just have a nude/dark brown duo or use the two from a larger pallete but might go grey this time. Any suggestion as who is good? Up to around £25 as just replaced foundation and need mascara too.

Urban Decay have some nice matte eyeshadows - their ‘Naked’ palettes are worth a look. Their individual colours are great, although some have shimmer in them.

Best bet would be to go to a big boots and do some swatching. Mattes can be difficult to get right because they tend to be dryer but most big brands have matte palletes available. I personally use the makeup revolution flawless mattes and get good results for only £8 but I know the brand isn't for everyone.

And the urban decay naked palletes are just not worth the £39 cost. I love urban decay but I dont think they do good eye shadow and rarely use my naked pallete.

You see, I disagree that UD Naked palettes aren’t worth the cost; I use mine every day and it’s been going strong for two years now. I also like MAC eyeshadows as they’re well-pigmented and last the day.

Makeup geek. Loads of swatches on google, sold on beauty bay and about £4 each. Really pigmented too, I use them every day
Have a look at creme brûlée, latte, frappe, cocoa bear, homecoming has shimmer but is beautiful, brownie points, faux fur....

I wouldn't get a big naked palette since most of them only have 3 matte shades.

The basics are a bit meh really.

I would actually suggest morphe even though they are a bit of a weird internet brand. Cheap and good pigment.

Another vote for urban decay naked you can get the basics palette for about 25 and they have great staying power the naked 2 basics is cooler toned nudes with only one Demi shimmer colour there to highlight with, the rest are brilliantly matte and last all day.

I love my Naked palette but there aren't many mattes at all so wouldn't suggest it for the cost given you're primarily after mattes. Even the small ones are mostly not mattes so don't think it would be a good investment for you.

I am following with interest as I have the same problem, I've mostly used up the matte colours on my Naked palette.

While UD palettes are lovely I agree they are expensive, especially for neutral "everyday" makeup. €47 here in Ireland Shock, a nice treat but I now prefer to buy lower priced ones and have discovered a few bargains.

Inglot do really nice eyeshadows, loved by MUAs and very affordable. Don't be put off by the rather heavily made up assistants! The Freedom range is particularly good.

I also really like the NYX full throttle quads which are @ €12.50 here so guessing a tenner in the UK. Very pigmented, last well and not at all chalky to apply. I've bought a few of these in the last couple of months and have been very happy with them.

Sleek do lots of palettes and IMO they are very good quality for the price, I've not been disappointed with any I've bought.

I only tend to wear matte eyeshadows and I often use Clinique Matt eyeshadow

Make up revolution from Superdrug do a simply mattes palette that's really good, about £4 i think. Nudes, browns and greys.

Kiko Milano is half the price of Urban Decay, has phenomenal staying power and does some fabulous matt shades. They're really strong pigments too. I've actually given one of my Urban Decay palettes to dd2.
