Clothes that made you feel sexy

Do you ever look back and think, God, I looked sexy in that! I remember prancing around this bloke's flat the morning after a party in a pair of Calvin Klein boxer shorts and his dress shirt, he was gorgeous (Olympic athlete) and all he wanted to do was shag me, I felt incredibly sexy. These days I live in a house so effing cold, and have a DH so disinterested that I make do with a fleece dressing gown Confused

I had this amazing dress aged about 20. It was fun-metal/metallic/dark silver, tight, pencil style with a split up the side and strapless. I was young, slim, gorgeous.

I wore it to various events as club nights for about 2 years and when I see photos of me in it I am in awe of how I ever looked that good! I also remember feeling amazing every time I wore it.

As a decrepit old hag, I’ve since had my colours done. That gun metal colour is one of my optimum colours. So I was instinctively wearing something that totally suited me Grin.

I used to have this amazing Motörhead t shirt that was all tattered and raggedy and a pair of denim hot pants and black tights and my big black boots and I felt and looked amazing in it. What I wouldn't give to have that outfit and that figure back.

A figure hugging red lace dress, in the 90s, I felt like Pretty Woman, my colleagues said I looked like a "doll", it was a Karen Millen one, I think. We went to some smart "it" place with it, and danced at an Indian nightclub in Mayfair after...

Long long time ago

Glad I had the guts to wear it a few times, why the hell not!

When I got my first ‘big’ pay cheque in my first ‘proper’ job I treated myself to a dark purple pencil skirt from Reiss, with a black waist band.

I wore it to the office with a skin tight black top and killer heels and felt super sexy.

I still have the skirt. It’s a size 6. Doubt it would fit over my thighs let alone my bum Sad

I’ve kept it because I am deluded convinced that I will wear it again Grin

I had a prussian blue suede a-line bum skimming mini from TopShop (90s size 10) which I wore with a tiny black t-shirt, opaques and DMs. I loved that skirt. I got too big and old for it and put it to a charity shop. Wish I'd kept it. I'm now lusting after suede miniskirts in the sales (slightly longer ones!).

I have a few - when I was younger all my clothes were geared to showing off my 24" waist

  • the black taffeta circle skirt I wore to my first disco
  • the camel coat with a tie belt from Top Shop that I wore in my dirst year at Uni
  • a red satin dress that cost £12 from Miss Selfridge and was very bombshell

A dark red, floor length velvet dress, with lacing up the back. It was too tight for underwear but my party trick was to get a champagne cork from top to bottom with strategic wiggling. Winter 1994- those were the days!

These all sound fabulous...mine were (in my head anyway) spray on vintage red velvet off shoulder dress, purple suede mini, wine velvet jean-type trousers aka 'your shagging trousers' (flatmate). Any big stompy boots.

In my day, leather trousers. They just very much worked for me. They would not now (and I couldn't be arsed with them either!)

A burgundy silk slip (I think it was actually a very posh nighdress) that I wore to a university ball circa 1994. I was size 8 with 28a boobs and could wear it without a bra. Post-children I have 32ff boobs and have not been without a bra in many years.

Loads from my uni days. A black topshop lingerie style satin dress. I've way too much cellulite these days to wear satin. Also satin does not take kindly to post baby pooches on the tummy! Felt incredible in it though.

Also from Topshop, a dusky pink almost skater style dress with a very low neck that showed off amazing cleavage. It had silk ribbon ties and silk around the cleavage area, and showed off my hour glass figure. It drove my boyfriend absolutely wild. Still have it but it's dated now, plus my lumps and bumps have moved around despite being the same size!

I've had a couple:
1)aged 17, a bustier corset top, that I wore every week, with a black skirt, nightclubbing. I have a very small waist and big boobs, so this was perfect for me.

2)I moved in with a group of boys at uni and swanned around in this red 'thang' as my nightwear.

Now, like Op, I swan around in a fleece dressing gown!!

Do you remember the late 90s when pencil skirts were THE thing to wear out, even to a club? I had a perfect one from Topshop - it was knee length, dark grey, split to the thing on both sides and so tight that it looked like it had been sprayed on yet was made of this really flattering fabric (Bengaline I think it’s called). I wore it loads with various tops and a pair of dolly high heeled shoes and I felt so so so sexy in it. However, these days I’d look like a middle aged, plump office worker who’s lost the will to live in it.

I used to wear denim Daisy Dukes with opaque tights and big stompy boots and a little t-shirt to go clubbing. Felt so sexy.

I still feel sexy in big boots. I recently bought myself a new pair of black DMs just like the ones I used to wear back in the day, and feel confident and a bit less sexy stomping around in them.

Also, for my 35th birthday party I wore a black Vivienne Westwood Red Label dress. My goodness me I felt fucking fantastic. I've never been able to fit into it since, but for that one night I was a goddess.

I was a teenager mind you..but I had a white top with white fishnet slashes along the waist and collarbone and back.land I'd wear it with a bright red bra Grin
Other than that ive felt my sexist either in a white wife-beater tank and short cut-offs or this off-the-shoulder tight body con lace number I had.

For my 18th I wore an off the shoulder green crushed velvet skin tight dress and I looked HAWT !!
About 10 years ago I wore an authentic Bavarian Dirndl and actually felt very sexy in it in a “ravished peasant “ kind of way

Only 23 but age 19 I went to a white tie ball I had this floor length gown on black and fitted to all my size 8 curves. I had these new stiletoes on and spent the whole night drinking champagne. it even snowed as this mega rich biggest farm owning family extremely hot guy showed me
Round and he kissed me while it snowed I’ve never danced for so long either was a fun weekend. I came home and went on some more dates with this other guy I had been out with I’m now a size ten and always think back what iff but that dress always reminds me of the best weekend in a long time

I had an amazing John Paul Gautier tube skirt which I wore clubbing to the Hacienda most weekends. Like most people I didn't realise how good I looked in my early 20's.

I never felt like that wearing anything when I was younger! Even though my body must've been a lot better then I had no idea to dress for my shape. I feel a lot sexier nowadays now that I know that a low cut skater dress is my best friend Grin I have a grey sparkly one I've worn loads to go out and it's so flattering and comfortable! I wish I'd made the most of my much flatter stomach in those days but I tried to follow fashion too much and nothing really suited me.

I had (and still have) this lovely black silk ball gown that I bought for a formal event when I was 17. Two babies later me waist is too wide and my breasts are too saggy to wear it. I'm still hoping I might be able to wear it again.
