To Prevent Sagging Jaws

AnaViaSalamanca · 15/01/2018 22:40

My jawline is softening and I am in my early 30s. Not happy at all....

Does anything work? Do you do facial exercises? What else can be done?

I'd like to know this! Mine showed it's first signs in my 30s and now I'm 45 it's not very defined.

It's not TERRIBLE but I'd like to tighten it up!

I want to know too.

It's inevitable for me, I fear, due to weight loss. :/

I misread the title and thought it said sagging jews and logged right in to see what advice you had....oh well....jaws is not one of my sagging bits

Radiofrequency skin tightening works incredibly well. Mine was sagging terribly and now I'm much more defined.

Mine always tightens up when I'm off the booze and cutting back on sugar. My whole face looks slimmer within 2-3 weeks

I've been reading about an injectable drug called Kybella. I haven't tried it but it sounds interesting. Other than that, facial exercises seem to be the way to go.

JMAngel1 can you elaborate please? Is it a device? Or you have to go for a treatment?

Yes, I go to a salon for it - the machine is a Promax Lipo radiofrequency machine - really hot probe ran over face multiple times - not comfortable but worth it. You can buy handheld home machines from Amazon but I've not tried them. I go every 4-6 weeks for maintenance and I swear my cheeks and jaw lift by a good inch when I come out.

I have been looking at the hand held ones ,but so many and wonder if they really work, i bought a nu face micro current one,but made no difference whatsoever
Are the treatment similiar to Caci? and are the treatments expensive?

Report
lovemylover · 22/01/2018 16:33

Sorry forgot to ask how long do the treatments last? does the effect wear off after each session, until the next one
I mean do you have to go regularly to keep up the effects?

Report

No not the same as Caci which is electrode current stimulation. Radiofrequency works by exerting a heat trauma to the skin deep down in the dermal layer and stimulates collagen productiin. There is no visible burn to the epidermal layer though. Some facials combine both RF and CACI together. My facials are £70 each but if buy a six treatment course then can get for £55 each.

Yes with first Course, need to go every 3 weeks - effect is constant now with 6 weekly maintenance and provided my weight stays constant.

Is there a radio frequency device that you could use at home for good results please?

Radio frequency skin tightening is meant to work!

Not tried it myself, my jawlines pretty good atm but I will when I’m a bit older definitely

Radiesse good for jaw line, a semi-permanent filler. Combine with cheek filler, to take up the slack and act like scaffolding, prop everything up - delightful image!

Thinking of trying a Derma wand, which is radio frequency, you can keep it for 30 days and return if not happy with it, but cant see it making a difference in that short time

I bought a slendertone face and it works wonders on the jaw line. I was beginning to get little sagging pouches and it reversed it totally.

Wish i had seen this Gary before i ordered the Derma wand, just yesterday, but its on a 30 day return if i dont like it,
I have a Nu Face and its not made any difference
If i return the Derma wand i will try the Slendertone one, but hoping it works as i have read good reviews

I second the slendertone face. I had one for years, and it must have made a difference because people kept commenting on how good I look. The headset snapped in the end, I had used it for about 5 years so I can't complain. I have been thinking about botox but have decided to buy another slendertone and see how I get on with that first. You need to be consistent with use and I would say it took a good 3 months to be able to really see the difference, although you should get a subtle from a couple of weeks in.

Where do you get Slendertone Faces from?

I can't find one on Amazon!

Report
lovemylover · 01/02/2018 11:49

I see there is a new version i did have one years ago, but it was so fiddly i gave up, and i think i still have it somewhere, but the new version looks much more comfortable and easier to use but took me a while to find it, Amazon had none, a couple on ebay, but not advertised like the derma wand or nu face
Will try the DW and see how it goes
