I have been using the Benefit liquid blushers for over 10 years. They are called 'cheek stains' I think, in a pink, coral and a more reddy shade.

Come in what looks like a nail varnish bottle with a little brush. You paint on a little blob and then pat around. Very sheer and buildable. Bottles last foreeeeever as you don't need a lot for a natural look. Can also use as lip tint which is nice if you just plan on wearing a lip balm or nothing else.

Another vote for Bobbi Brown. I like to apply it using an ever so slightly damp beauty blender. Kind of dabbed on and blended out.

I hate the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge. I've tried it twice. There isn't a colour which really suits me anyway- they are either too pink or too bright/ orange. But it's the texture. I tried using it again today - pot lurking in my make up drawer- and it is so greasy it makes my skin look wet! I don't have shiny or oily skin- am in my early 60s- but it's horrible and doesn't last either.

Daniel Sandler Watercolour - it's a liquid, not a cream, but it's the only blusher I've ever tried which actually looked like skin and not product on top of skin.

Becca do a really good cream blush - less waxy than the bobbi brown ones.

They also do the beach tint which is a liquid blush and lip stain.

I've used the Becca blusher before and loved it, but I can't find it anymore. Where did you find it?

Glossier cloud paint. You need a tiny amount, and it is pretty much foolproof!

I use this
Liz Earle cream blush in Nectar. It looks very dark but isn't. Not cheap but really good.

For a cheaper alternative this is a cheap alternative and similar colour is soft pink. It's less than a third the price.

Clinique chubby stick. Just draw a fat stripe on each cheek and then blend with a brush. Easy.

Stila cream blush is fab, great shades and lasts for ages. Top shop too, the one with the polka dot lid is also good and much more matte

Another vote for Clinique chubby stick. The best colour that I've found for me anywhere. I just draw a stripe as per pp above but just blend with my fingers. Lovely and quick and a natural look

I love YSL baby doll kiss and blush. It's a cream consistency that can be used on lips or cheeks. (I've never used it on my lips)

A tiny dot on each cheek and blend with a brush. Lasts all day and the bottle lasts forever. Love it

Another vote for Glossier cloud paint. I think a lot of their other products are a bit overhyped but the cloud paint is great, especially if you like a more natural look (although it is highly pigmented so you could build it into a more dressy look, too).

I currently use "dusk" (a soft brown) and "beam" (a lovely peachy-coral shade) together, using a very small amount dusk as a very subtle contour beneath the cheek bone, and and a dab of beam on the apples of my cheeks. Really easy and looks fab!

Another vote for Liz Earle cream blush - I love the Rose, very pretty and natural flush. I think it’s being discontinued as it’s currently 40% off at John Lewis.

I love the Stilla ones (you can buy them in M&S) - called convertible colour.

They also have a watercolour blush (apply just like a cream) which is fantastic (I have the colour rosewater). It's really easy to use, very flattering and wears really well - I'd highly recommend it.

I loved their cream blush I mentioned but I actually think the watercolour one is better.
