According to dh, my style is 6th form drama teacher. What’s yours?

So I do have a penchant for some ‘ethnic’ style jewellery and a billowy frock. And a bit of beading/embroidery/sequins/faux fur. I think I pull it off Grin but no matter what I wear this is what I look like. You could put me in a trouser suit and I’d still look like a art/drama teacher. What’s that all about? What’s your inescapable style?

A few years ago a colleague described me as having a Tory wife look - I was going through a Hobbs phase at the time, so I guess that was why Grin

Currently I'm rocking a peri-menopausal Mum living in the country look (too much Seasalt and Joules), but aspire to be more elegant living in a city kind of chic. It's never gonna happen.

My best friend once described me as a primary school teacher who moonlights as a 1940s hooker.

It's a good job I love her because she's on the fucking money

Student from the late twentieth century now depserately trying to be a 21st century grown up and not quite pulling it off
Following all the knowledgeable poster on S&B should be helping but I just keep slipping back to my student default and it's looking less and less acceptable as I advance into middle age. Sad

Great question! My style of dress is pretty similar to yours, OP but some friends recently described me as "if you were in one of those old portraits hanging on a castle wall, you'd be royal hotty"

Which made no sense to me but apparently means I have an old fashioned, regal and elegant air - which is basically the opposite to how I feel, Aspergers, dyspraxia and all 😀
