Is there anything finer than a permed ging?

First shop I went in said, oh no not on that colour, which took me back slightly.

Second one asked me for a pic of what I want and said she could definitely do it and that it would look amazing.

the pic with short hair (now if they could give me her face as well that'd be great)

Oh Lordy!

A night of passion with Nigel Farage would be preferable to having that done to my barnet.

I disagree with poster above- that hairstyle looks great and I love red hair. The only thing i would say is that I think it would only suit those with quite well defined cheek bones

Well my cheek bones are nothing like Alysons but I do seem to suit most hair styles, went from long to pixie cut and both looked good, just been stuck with this just shorter than chin bob for ages and it's so flat and meh. I do werid stuff to my hair a lot anyway, not overly bothered if I have to cut it all off and start again fairly regularly.
Attached, me with long hair and me with pixie cut.

Do it do it do it. It will be bloody amazing with your hair colour. I did a short perm last year and it was fantastic.

Make sure you stick a picture on here when it’s done.

Absolutely do it! A friend of mine had a perm done (similar length hair, if not a bit longer than the AH pic above) and it looks absolutely beautiful Smile

Hair is lighter now, more natural ginger (but with the silver hidden). I may have also pinched the pics of you from your thread to show hairdresser HoneyDragon, First hairdresser said thats not a perm thats natural which made me laugh.

I did the condition test where you float a couple of strands of hair and if they float your hairs in good condition, if they sink it isnt and it passed. Also had perm solution on my arm all day to check for allergy. I'm very excited, I didn;t expect them to have an appointment for ages.

Ohhh I’m watching this eagerly, I’ve been after a perm forever. I’m a ginger too (not dyed) but I’m too scared to go for it as my hair is currently the longest it’s ever been and I don’t want to have to chop it all off or damage it beyond repair.

Just bear in mind that you lose a lot of length when it's curly.

I love the graduated cut in the second pic, it's a really flattering look. Be really clear about what sort of curls you want- there are various methods to achieve tight or loose curls, waves or corkscrews.

Looking forward to the after pics on Saturday.

The first hairdresser may have pointed out your colour because there's something about naturally red hair that makes it very difficult to perm compared to other hair types..not sure of the science.

I'm sure she wasn't implying that it would look terrible Grin
