Returning stuff to Shein

I have just been reading the, to me, surprisingly positive reviews of Shein clothing in other threads. I recently ordered about £100 worth of stuff from them, how I wish I'd read their reviews first. The clothes are poor quality, should have realised this from the price. But returning them is a nightmare. There are size and weight restrictions on the return parcel, which means I had to pay for 2 return labels to send 2 separate parcels. It then proved impossible to fit the clothes (bulky fleece coats) into 2 parcels which complied with the restrictions. They were either too heavy or too large, because of the coat bulk. I can't use the original box because it's both too large and too heavy. Also they suggested in an email that the PO might not accept the return paid label. I have had a lengthy email correspondence with them and it's not resolved. To be fair, they do return emails promptly. Please think very carefully before you buy. If you are not happy with the quality and need to return a bulky item, be prepared to spend time and energy. I think I am going to have to give upon this having spent hours trying to repack the clothes to comply with the requirements.

Thanks for the warning. I've seen ads on Facebook and have seen some nice looking dresses but I didn't entirely trust them, you've confirmed my fears. I thought they might be Chinese knock offs but that sounds like bad customer service for online shopping.

Can you vacuum pack them with bags from a pound shop? They have dreadful reviews and this is a good warning to everyone. Generally people should steer clear of buying clothes directly from China.

It was such a nightmare trying to organise returns and it wasn’t worth the huge cost.

I don’t think the clothes they advertise are the same as you actually get.

I sized up and the stuff wouldn’t have fitted a doll.

Sorry you're having such a nightmare with them OP but thank you for the heads up as I was genuinely taken in by their marketing on FB and tempted to buy a few items.
You forget don't you after a while that you've been bamboozled by all their ads and you presume they'll be ok and that they're a decent company.

Thanks for the warning OP, I also thought the clothes looked nice but was put off as they were so cheap, I will continue to steer clear, I spend enough time sending back parcels anyway!!

I bought a 'gorgeous' top from them in the summer. Looked so lovely on the website and I was quite pleased with it when I opened the package. Then I tried it on. Never have I had such a bizarrely cut item so I concluded that either I am a very odd shape or ... When you look closely you can see why they're so cheap - the quality is appalling.

Avoid the company ‘fashion Mia’ as well, the clothes took weeks to come and when they did arrive the quality was poor and there was no way to return the goods either, no labels or return address, nothing! Totally ripped off avoid like the plague! The fancy adverts online bear no resemblance to the clothes that arrive, Never again, lesson learnt.

I looked at Shein and quite liked some of their things. Mentioned to my DD who warned me that they had a reputation for bad quality and awful customer service/delivery/returns.

I found in tiny print a 'sent from' address on the package, and sent the returns there - six weeks ago. It was signed for, and they have just acknowledged the receipt of the parcel. The only way I have been able to contact them is via FB Messenger - they do respond, but not in any constructive way.

Waiting for £100 to be returned!

I would send the return address I used StephRid, but they have said that it was wrong, although they have acknowledged receipt of the return parcel (which I paid for).

If anyone has an email address I would be grateful.

I too am having a nightmare in returning a small parcel to SHEIN.
I intended to return the items at my own cost as my printer is down but after most of an afternoon going round in circles I still do not have the return address.
Can anyone help please?

I found an address in very small print on the package that the clothes were sent in. Shein have since said that I returned it to the wrong address (yes - well if you'd have given me the right one, I'd have sent it there!), but they have acknowledged receiving it. I also paid, including the extra to get the package signed for.

Emailed and messaged them earlier using Steph's email address - waiting for response.

Maybe MN should set up a Shein customer support and therapy group - although I can't imagine buying from them again!

So......I have just received an email from Shein, saying that they are processing the refund, and it will be with us in 10-30 days. Certainly worth using the address from Steph Clougherna.

So true to their word, Shein have refunded the payment. Took some doing, but at least we got there in the end.

I'm surprised by the comments. I haven't tried returning anything though but I have bought several dresses from them, all perfect fit and nicely made. No returns necessary here. T-shirts are a little short bodies and cheap but dresses have been great.

Yes I bought a couple of tops and loved them..I went back and bought eight more of them in assorted colours. BUT I've also had a couple of disasters that I use as pajama tops. Very short and wide. It is quite hit and miss,

Hi, does anyone know what the return address is for Shein UK? Cant get in contact with their customer service via email or phone! Getting very annoyed with their site, its a load of rubbish. Will never use them again.

I recommend paying with PayPal and using their 'return shipping on us' service where necessary. It's simple to activate and they cover up to £15 of return shipping costs per return, for up to 12 eligible returns per year worldwide.

I've not shopped at Shein yet but found myself here when I was looking for reviews online. The prices are certainly attractive. My niece was wearing a lovely lightweight dress a few weeks ago which prompted me to check them out :)
