What colour to make eyes pop

I absolutely love the colour of my eyes, I am often told what an unusual colour they are, I was wondering what colour eyeshadow people would use to really make them pop and the green stand out, I normally use smokey eye and I feel it's making my eyes look dull

Below are two pictures zoomed in (sorry about the quality) one with mascara and one without

I have hazel eyes and I'm told plum eyeshadow does this well

AnaWinter · 15/12/2017 07:19

Copper or gold with black or navy eyeliner

MrsFoxPlus4 · 15/12/2017 07:19

Plums and warm neutral colours

sourpatchkid · 15/12/2017 07:22

You have lovely eyes 😊

Wheelywheel · 15/12/2017 07:24

A bit of shimmery copper would look lovely with your eyes xxx

Wheelywheel · 15/12/2017 07:25

Sorry about the xxx Blush

I too have hazel eyes and do smokey eyes with a purple (plum / blacks with a dark plum sparkle in the powder) or green (Charlotte Tilbury eye crayon).

Also use Mac Teddy (coppery brown) and Power Surge (dark plum) eyeliners as eyeshadow (scribbled on and then blended with a Mac 217).

Warm neutral eye color would do the trick. You can also try shades of brown.

magpiemischief · 15/12/2017 07:41

Sounds painful!

PodgeBod · 15/12/2017 09:32

To make your eyes pop you should choose the colour opposite to your eye colour on the colour wheel. For you I would say that is plummy colours.

I have similar eye colour and use an eyeliner pencil of the exact same colour to very subtly line my water line. No matter what other make up I’m wearing it makes me look 100 times better.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 15/12/2017 15:23

Blue.

Bobbi Briwn gel liner in Saphire is perfect.

silkpyjamasallday · 16/12/2017 09:25

Charlotte Tilbury has some chubby pencil eyeshadow things called colour chameleon, I have similar colour eyes to you OP and have it in golden quartz, and they are all designed to compliment specific eye colours and have a few for each. Obviously you can then just buy from another brand in the same colour, but it is a lovely product to use and does highlight my eye colour well.

Ollivander84 · 16/12/2017 11:49

I have green eyes and find copper, bronze, red shades all work really well. Purples too

kaytee87 · 16/12/2017 11:52

Burgundy / purples or copper

Opheliasgoldenwine · 16/12/2017 13:11

Ooh let us know what you get! Lovely eyes, OP Smile

leghoul · 16/12/2017 16:24

I have similar eyes and yet people think they're brown unless in sunlight or direct light so I looked into this and best I came up with was plum/aubergine colours including mascara & a brilliant eyeshadow from shu uemura (I don't think shu uemura exists here now?) an amazing sort of cool bronze/taupe shade but I am not 100% sure of the code (had MK and an 8 in it)

LazyDailyMailJournos · 16/12/2017 20:04

Pink makes green eyes pop. So anything with a red-based tone to it would emphasise the colour.

UsernameInvalid66 · 16/12/2017 21:01

To make your eyes pop you should choose the colour opposite to your eye colour on the colour wheel.

Out of curiosity what does that mean for those of us who have grey eyes?

stoplickingthetelly · 16/12/2017 21:38

Would agree with all of the people above who have suggested pinks, burgundy, purples and plums.

Littlelambpeep · 16/12/2017 21:41

I am similar on colouring to you and pink is what makes them stand out.
