Hair help please?

At the grand old age of 43 I've finally had my long hair cut, and I'd like some product help please.
I have thick, wavy hair which I've had cut into a blunt bob just sitting on my shoulders. Day to day I'll most likely blow dry it straightish but I'd like to have th option of keeping the natural wave in it some days too. If I leave it to dry naturally it looks great with the wavy blunt cut but as the day goes on it's getting frizzy and looking too thick. What product do I need to help keep the wave in? I've seen curl cream but don't think it's quite what I'm after, I'm looking for more of a 'beach hair' type of look if that makes sense
Sorry for the rubbish description!
