I like cords and it seems they are in at the moment. Has anyone bought a pair, and where from?

Are you going to wear them when they're not "in" anymore? If not, I wouldn't bother..

Haven't bought any, but have excavated some from the back of the wardrobe! Tried some on, and loved them, but not at full price!

I want some skinny ones.
Ordered some lovely burgundy ones from oasis but they don't fit. 😩

Yes figuier, I’ve nalways liked them.they are perfect for work, couldn’t get away with jeans but they strike the right note. Saw some on OAsis website squirrel but they’re blue. Must check out the Sea salt website.

I love cords and like Sock I hot footed it to the back of the cupboard. But I'd forgotten they were Extreme Flares and I'm not ready to leave the house in them just yet. So I've treated myself to some from Toast, ankle length, slouchy, ££ and I bloody love them with brogues and just a flash of fishnet or glittery sock. But they have a flaw and the clue was in the name: the cord is thick so best suited to cold days.... when I want a little more than a layer of fishnet between my ankles and the world. So now I need boots to go with them (tried on every pair I own - none work) only I can't afford to buy boots yet cos I spent all my money on the cords Blush

I've also lost my heart to some extra long, extra wide legs at both Warehouse and Christophe Lemaire for Uniqlo (sold out but they keep getting returns). I've resisted, partly cos I've no money left and partly because I'm 5'3 and only wear flats so it would end in tears. But I love them so.

If you're more sensible than I am, M&S have some, a choice of skinny or slim leg (I think) a range of colours and they look bloody good value.

Uniqlo are doing some nice skinny ones in deep colours: I've bought navy and dark green.

I tried the oasis ones too @Squirrelfruitandnutkin and yes, I have just had a baby, but I did think they were small.

I got some from the 'classic' M&S section as the reviews only said they were large in the tummy/hip area so perfect for a postnatal body! They are't quite as skinny on the legs as they looked online though.
M&S had a few other pairs too but
I'd love some proper skinny ones!

I hadn't thought of cords. Damn. I want some now. Oasis you say?

Next have them.

The oasis ones were a perfect fit up till the waist. They're probably better for someone with a more noticeable difference between waist and hips/ hourglass. I tried a 10. I normally get a 10 skinny jean from Dorothy Perkins.

Might try M&S... except our store is for the over 70s and I hate using their crappy website.

Nefretforth - what sort of shape are the uniqulo ones? I'm trying to estimate if they'd be a good fit as they'd have to be online shopping as nowhere near a store.

Thanks Gemini ! Buttered scone I confess I already have a comptoir des cotonniers pair. I’m waiting for the sales to get another. I did check out M&S but thought they weren’t flattering as baggy around tummy/ bum while fitted right on legs. I agree post baby they could be just right, and were quite good value at £25

M&S have a great range ... M&Co are selling them this year too Flowers

My favourites came from a local shop and sadly, the maker seems to have stopped packed it in . They were a very simple shape, without pockets (their only drawback IMO) but a perfect slouchy wide-legged shape in a fine needlecord with 2% lycra for comfort. I bought three pairs in different colours for teaching placements. The navy ones lost colour and had to be dyed (green-- an error; shit result) but the black ones I overdye regularly and they still refresh well I tried, above, some others in a covetable aubergine, but not an option at nearly £300. Will wait for January sale and hope I am the successful bottom fisher!

I have been searching for a pair of cord jeans for ages. No luck.

The Seasalt ones look really awful on me. Lands End also Did not suit as I am short. I reckon they would be good on anyone with a long torso though. Worth a punt.

I just want a nice pair of Levi like cords! What can’t I find them.

I had the legging ones from Uniqlo from last year which were great, but can’t find any on the website. Any links?
