Which is your favourite hippy deodorant?

I have just finished a Pitrok roll on that I was decidedly 'meh' about. Do you have a hippy deodorant that you swear by, one that keeps your pits smelling as sweet as a baby's head?

Driclor. It's ain't hippy it's probably full of all sorts but it's a life changer. After a couple of weeks you only need to apply once or twice a week before bed.

I was at dinner with friends and we were talking about this. None of us have found a natural deo that works 100%. My favourite is weleda rose spray.

I’ve tried them all and Axiola Black Chicken Paste is the only one that works. Works really well, on me

My whole family use the Pitrok for men in a pump spray. I prefer it to the roll on.

Driclor is the opposite of what I'm looking for! 😄 I've never actually tried it but am terrified of it after reading lots of 'my armpit ruptured in blisters and then turned black, but once I got past that stage it was great' type reviews.

I use Dr Organic. It’s not cheap but I wait until it’s on but one get one half price at Holland & Barrett.

*buy

Not sure if it’s hoppy enough for you but it’s paraben free etc. I tried to make my own once with some kind of powder and essential oils. Made a right mess!

Oh for goodness sake autocorrect. *hippy

I swear by Incognito crystal deodorant. I gym a lot and yes, I sweat. But don't stink - well not until later. I think I sweat less since quitting anti perspirants. I sometimes borrow DH 's on holiday and I seem to sweat and smell worse.

Make my own with coconut oil, bicarb, cornflour and essential oils. It's a bit messy to apply and you need to remember to wash your hands after applying it. Have been known to have patchouli flavoured toast. It works though. Used to cycle 5 miles to work, gym lots and don't stink.

But its sooo good! And such infrequent use has got to be a bit hippy ; )

TMI I'm a sweaty betty and have spent far too much time with my arms pinned to my sides because my deo has failed again.

I have FINALLY found some that work and that I repeat purchase:

//www.theohmcollection.com
I'm using this at the moment. It's like rubbing bicarb on your underarms, well it would be, because that's pretty much what you're doing!
If you are over vigourous with rubbing it on, it does sting but mostly it's fine. I've been using it for months and have only had that happen a few times.
It can also be a pain knowing how much to use and it isn't something you can use easily once you're dressed.
But, it does stop smells and it keeps you dry - as much as you'd expect a deodorant to anyway.
I'll buy it again.
I buy mine from: //www.lovelula.com but lots of places sell it.

I also really like:
naturaldeoco.com
This is coconut oil based so it can leave you a bit wet and it has sometimes stained some tight fitting dark tops but it does work and I've never had any irritation or anything like that from this.
It's moisturising and they do gentle and stronger options.
I was happily using this for ages and would reuse.

I used to use this:
//www.weleda.co.uk/citrus-deodorant-100ml-106012
I liked it and it was mostly effective but I don't think it was quite enough for me. If you have more ladylike glowing tendancies if may be OK for you.
Truth be told I think I mostly liked it because it smells like gin and tonic! I also prefer a spray.
They do a rose scent one which I never tried.

I have a long list of rubbish ones which include pitrock.

Mayhemmumma - sweat is one way your body gets rid of all the nasties. Anti-persperants use aluminium (usually) to block ypur sweat glands. So your body ends up unable to get rid of toxins and actually has more added to it.

That's why some people prefer to use deos rather than anti-persperants. Personally I've not used an anti-persperant in decades and natural deodorants have gotten so much better over that time.

I'm not preaching at you, what you use is none of my business but there is no way you can say diclor is hippy. ☺

I love the Greeench powder one from Lush. Smells nice and fresh, works a treat and the bottle lasts me 6 mths. Also doubles as a talc and dry shampoo in a pinch.

Pitrok solid crystal.
Run it under the tap and rub your arm pits. Lasts ages.

I love that homemade deodorant upthread and it works 100%, even better than aluminium ones, but eventually it gave me an itchy, burning rash. I'd go back to it in a heartbeat if that didn't happen. It's the baking soda reacting with skin, some people are sensitive to it. I tried cutting down on the amount of baking soda but then it wasn't effective.

I use Aesop and I think it's pretty good. It smells nice too.

I really rate their deodorant.
I’ve just ran out of the tea tree one which I loved.

Pitrok women’s roll on. I get terrible hives from other deodorants and it’s the only one that doesn’t make me itch. Is it 100% reliable? Is any deodorant?

It works for me. Strangely, though, I used to be able to use the pitrok spray for men and I liked the scent, but that makes me itch now, too.

OP isn't asking for an antiperspirant. Thread title and opening post both specify deodorant.

I use the Jason ones, but Weleda are I think more effective.
