Tell me about your slippers!

Seriously my feet are sodding freezing since my last pair of slippers gave out (ballet flats from BHS, ha!)

I need slippers which:

  • have a hard sole so I can go outside in them
  • come in a 3/36
  • have backs, so not clogs.

Cosy feet also a priority.

Any recommendations?

I am Blush as these are a bit nana, but honestly they are the toastiest and comfiest slippers I've ever had! The soles are fairly sturdy, so they stand up to some light outdoor usage!

Ugg slippers. I got mine from the schuh imperfects website as one was slightly faded, but they're brilliant

I have Totes from last Christmas that fulfill your criteria!! Look like grey uggs and machine washable!!

Moshulu all the way here as well. They have a fantastic range and last for ages.

Isotoner/Totes ones. These are the ones I always have - they last, are warm and comfortable.

@Gingefringe they do last forever - my current pair are so vile and filthy I'm going to have to throw them out, I'm trying to hang on til Christmas in the hope I get a new pair!

I have exactly those slippers - InMemory. I asked for them as a 40th birthday pressie

Homeys. I am a slipper fiend Blush and these are the best and longest lasting I've ever experienced.

I also highly recommendMoshulu. Got some hard soled mules that are toasty. Just beware when going up and down stairs though as you can't feel the floor through the slipper so if you misjudge a step, you can fall. Only my quick reflexes saved me!

Another vote for Moshulu - mine are never off my feet at home.

Go outside in your slipper? Ohhh no you don't want to do that!

I use these odd welly-shoe things that you just slip on over your house slippers when you need to chase a dog or run down to the recycling bins, or chase to postman.

Snuggly moccasins! Mine are Minnetonka, but I have my eye on some replacements from Next...

Ugg boots here too. I wear the minis as slippers

I love the moshulu ones. Are they washable? I usually just buy cheap washable ones from Tesco or peacocks. Tesco ones are surprisingly good.

Moshulu every time!

I have spent too long teasing my Mum about her granny slippers to actually buy myself a pair. But I have found my Primark espadrilles are perfect to slip on my feet and keep them cozy as I potter around the house.

I got some Homeys after seeing them recommended on here & they are fab. Hard sole for popping outside & nice fluffy lining to keep your feet warm but don’t make them overheat like some do.

Ugg boots. Love them for around the house.

Count come over to the warm side, Primark espadrilles do not sound in the least bit toasty! My mum has made noises about getting me some of the posh Mahabi slippers with the removable sole for venturing outside, I shall report back if they live up to my Moshulus!

I love my Camper slippers. Super-comfy, sole is good enough to go outside and think I can get away with going to the corner shop in them in a pinch. I work from home and wear them all day. www.houseofslippers.co.uk/camper-wabi-ladies-wool-mule-slippers-grey-p15732/s122872?cid=GBP&gclid=CjwKCAiAxarQBRAmEiwA6YcGKJT2AsI1kgDWDAEb2onKCjoO1PQQY1P2cD3vtETeAvAYHyL7eepj5BoCiacQAvD_BwE

Thanks everyone! I knew S&B was the place to ask Smile

I am intrigued by Fekko’s description of over slipper covers, but those Moshulu ones do look super toasty.

They do remind me of my late grandmother a bit. But not in a terrible way.

Thank you for this thread! I always buy cheap slippers and have a stone floor downstairs so always have cold feet. Just bought some Homeys after reading the recommendations here. Got them from House of Slippers where there is a discount code available today (or maybe always, who knows) - FIVEROFF for £5 off and free express delivery. No I'm not on commission :D

I'm on my fourth winter of wearing these. So cosy
