Don’t get new GHDs. They aren’t the same as they were - the old ones used to heat to 210/230 degrees and the new ones only go to about 190 which they say is hot enough for everyone but really isn’t for my thick coarse hair. I bought a set to replace my old ones that died and then sold the new ones on gumtree. I bought a set of Remington ones from Boots, 235 degree temp. They’re superb and we’re about £45.

Cloud 9. Fantastic and much better than the new GHDs

Cloud 9's really are so, so good compared to the new GHD's. Their drying spray is great, too.

Check out the steam pods, much kinder to hair and don't give that flat straight look most straighteners does.

I used my friends cloud 9’s on holiday this year and really wasn’t impressed when using them for curling.. also found the outside got so hot it was hard to hold.. but we had both been using them so on for longer than normal..

My new GHDs are shit compared to my plenty ones. The plates don’t meet properly so they pull my hair. They claim they’re supposed to do this and you just have to wait five minutes for them to heat up and expand hmm this does help a bit but doesn’t fully resolve it and I don’t have time for all that as I only do my fringe anyway. I’ve gone back to using my 2006 pair!

Plenty ones?? Not sure what that was supposed to be. Old ones, I think.
