Anyone have Raynaud’s that can recommend gloves? I’ve been in so much pain today :(

I have Raynauds, not super severe, but I've started wearing more layers on my torso as I think it when my body got cold my hands and feet were badly affected. I like uniqlo heattech. I've also got some new gloves from uniqlo which are very warm, but ugly.
A bit random but I also read that evening primrose oil can help with Raynauds so I make sure to take a capsule a day

Watching with interest as I've got anti-raynauds . I'll try the evening primrose tip.

I have Raynaud's and find that wearing silk glove liners under normal gloves (or even better mittens) is most effective. I got my pair here www.patra.com/Products/SG/pure-silk-thermal-glove-liners not cheap but they are on their 6th year and still going strong

Unfortunately I can’t take evening primrose as I suffer from blood clots...

Will look at silk liners though, that seems like a better idea.

It’s cold today, isn’t it Sad

My rheum told me mittens are actually better as the fingers together conserves warmth. Heat Holders do good thermal ones. There are actual Raynauds gloves which contain silver, but I haven’t tried them myself.

The best combo for me is silk liner gloves, with thermal mittens over the top, or a decent pair of leather, or sheepskin gloves. Sadly I lose gloves constantly so just get cheapy thermal ones. Oh, and those little clicky handwarmers you refresh in hot water, if I’m out in the cold for a while eg watching DCs’ football matches.

I have Raynaud's. North Face gloves are amazing. I also recommend wearing layers of clothing to keep your temperature up- M&S vest tops are good. I wear thick socks and boots too- I find that keeping my whole body warm minimises effects of Raynaud's on my hands

My hands aren’t actually so bad today, but my toes are agony and I can’t get them warm despite wrapping them in a heated blanket! I’ve tried sheepskin boots, sheepskin liners, layers of socks, thermal socks, layers of thermal socks...Hmm so I don’t want to hijack your thread choca but if anyone has any tips to get warm toes...

Best gloves I’ve ever bought are proper sheepskin mitts.
Mitts are always better for Raynauds as the heat gathers in the “pocket” and being sheepskin the wool keeps the heat close to your hand while the skin keeps the wind out.

Wearing tops with ninja cuffs also help - the ones with the hole in the cuff so you can loop your thumb in and have it coming well over your hand.

I have Raynauds too. However as I'm also premenopausal and prone to overheating and hot flushes I find it a nightmare!

If I wear layers to keep my body warm to lessen the Raynauds I just end up with hot and sweaty flushes in between the spells the icy, numb, painful hands.

I always wear thin silk gloves and then big mittens over the top.

Scarves help to trap heat and I have been known to keep a hat on in the house (with the heating on). Layers, layers, layers... tights and trainer socks with Chelsea boots for example.

Have got cashmere wrist warmers on my Christmas wish list!

Not sure I look stylish but being able to use my hands is more important!

I do have raynauds but it's minor. Not eben sure if I get it anymore.

Felt so sorry for a young woman at a local supermarket over summer as I commented on her wearing gloves and she said she had raynauds but even the air conditioning would trigger it off

The perfect combo for me is thin leather gloves and then sheepskin mittens over the top. In between the layers I put in a little hotties hand warmer. Quite wasteful but better than the pain without them.

WKDND are these the North Face ones: www.thenorthface.co.uk/shop/en-gb/tnf-gb/etip-leather-glove-3bz3?variationId=MN8

Love the sound of cashmere wrist warmers!

The silver gloves are good. I usually wear them under my leather gloves.

My problem is my feet. I’ve been looking for sheepskin lines boots but I need something smart for work

No, not those OP.

They don't have the ones that I have on the website. Mine are black, kind of fleece material with a power button logo on one finger- not sure whether that will help if you want to look on eBay or other websites.

www.thenorthface.co.uk/shop/en-gb/tnf-gb/power-stretch-gloves-avdy?variationId=JK3 these look similar to the ones I have.

www.thenorthface.co.uk/shop/en-gb/tnf-gb/womens-denali-thermal-etip-gloves-a6m0?variationId=JK3 these also look really good.

For my feet I have found merino socks from Mountain Warehouse work pretty well. They're £8 a pair, but oh so worth it. Thank you for the tips on gloves and mittens, I will certainly explore those, anything to avoid the loss of blood and feeling to my hands.

My life has been transformed since DH bought me some Ugg mittens (other brands may be just as good Wink). I sometimes even have to take them off as my hands get too warm. I can't wear anything which separates my fingers as they just lose their circulation so while I feel a bit like a toddler in my mitts the difference they make is AMAZING.

I'm a big believer in wrist warmers round the house. I have microfleece ones in a few colours and it makes a big difference layering them with long sleeves. For formal purposes, I found sleeve extender things which are sold for women whose dress codes are sleeves to the wrist and are sort of like opaque tights material. So not super warm, but they add to the `layers on my arms and give a layer to the middle of my hand without being too obvious

A lot of cycling shops do really warm and toasty lobster style gloves - three fingers in one pouch, index finger and thumb. Has the warmth advantage of a mitten but retaining dexterity.

Go to a reputable bike shop (preferably a large independent one with good stock) and the staff will recommend the warmest if you ask them about it.

I’m interested in wrist warmers too. I have EDS and I’ve just started a new desk job. Not sure if it’s the job or the cold but my wrists and thumbs are playing merry hell.

Mine are by Manbi - I think I've bought most of them through ebay sellers, but you can get them on Amazon too.

I have lovely down mittens, and for extra cosyness I put heatpacks or my Hotrock in them. I also have a handmuff which is faux fur on both sides and has a pocket for headpacks. Its really useful if you are doing something where you will need to use your hands alot, so you can wear silk gloves, and then put them back in the warmth quickly. You do need to rock a victorian look for it though, but it goes with a cape nicely
