Its my one year wedding anniversary on saturday and we are off to the place we got married for a lovely meal.

So i bought this black wrap dress the pics are before and after type thing. One is with no control wear you can see my hips lots so i threw some spanx on tried it on again feel alot better in it but i didnt have a bra on it in that pic. Am off to buy a plunge bra to wear with it tomorrow.

Anyway I was going to do black shoes and bag but i feel a bit drab in all black help me dress it up a bit.

It really suits you. An armful of silver bangles would look nice with it and maybe some heeled ankle boots - leopard print maybe? Or a leopard clutch? Or a Whistles wristlet, or something similar?

Personally I like the monochrome look. Looks better than pairing it with 'jazzy' accessories for example. What about a vivid manicure?

Oh I also love monochrome.

I think it's maybe the shoes that are the problem - they look a bit 'work-ish'.

Yeah maybe shoes that show a bit of toe.

Black suede heeled ankle boots would be nice, with micronet fishnets or not too thick opaques.

Think i might just stick to the monochrome look then Grin
The shoes also have a little strap that goes acriss the front but i didn't fasten them. Am tginking it maybe the shoe. These are the shoes i had on.

It might just be the angles of the photo but I think you look better in the first picture, is that the one with no Spanx? You have a lovely figure don’t hide it in those painful pants! You’ll want to take them off when you start eating anyway Grin

Looks gorgeous. What about some fabulously garish heels (eg red patent). I'd do great big statement earrings as well.

Both pics look good by the way, I just think you shouldn’t wear the spanx

I'd do big earrings.

Have a lovely time!

You look lovely in the dress. I like the shoes, I really don’t think boots would work but I’m no expert!

Yes first picture is no spanx second is spanx but no bra the bra will make a huge difference i think too.

I'd definitely skip the shoes in that case. Ankle straps tend to make perfectly decent legs look stumpy.

Must be the angle of the pic. Those shoes definitely don't look work-ish!

Spanx give me wind.

I love your flooring.

Jazz it up with a red lip and choose one big accessory. Ie dangly pat butcher earrings (very in at the mo) or lots of bangles or a statement necklace.

Lovely!

You look lovely! Beautiful nails and a nice blow dry?

Glittery heels! Black if you want to stick with monocrome

catladyinthemaking · 09/11/2017 20:53

I would go for plain coloured heels and either a matching clutch or coat and a nice necklace.

I think you look better without Spanx too.

Is would just go with a red lip. You look lovely

Go without Spanx, you look gorgeous. Nice shoes and a bright lip and you’re good to go!

Have a lovely time!

Very flattering dress, lovely figure.

I’d go bright shoes, manicure and probably lips. Fab shoes are all very well, but if they’re under a table all night...

If it’s a wedding anniversary I’d prolly go a coloured bra with eyelash lace so I could give my partner a meaningful brief flash at some point!

I think I might brave the no spanx.... and see what a decent bra does. I might even throw some fancy matching undies on seems as its a special day. Grin

I wear dresses like that a lot, where did you get it?

I'd wear it with a long gold pendant necklace (falling somewhere between boobs), a nice mani, fishnet tights and boots or heels.

Put the Spanx in the bin, no need-you look great!

Re shoes-I love a peep toe.

You have an excellent floor!
