An eye shadow palette? Urban decay or Anastasia Beverly Hills tend to be the go to ones, it's just a matter of choosing which appeals to you most.

I'd go for one of the urban decay naked pallets as they seem universally popular. They're about 30 iirc. If you want to go to 50 then a good lip gloss from benefit would be a nice treat alongside

Anastasia Beverley hills or Urban decay as above but you can also get amazing ones from Revolution in Superdrug for a tenner! Grin (my teenage daughter is obsessed with Revolution make up).

Anastasia, Huda, Two Faced or Urban Decay.
Depends what colours you like.
Matt or shimmer?
Anastasia modern renaissance / Huda Desert Dusk or Textured Shadows / Urban Decay Naked heat for bright colours.
Urban Decay one is brilliant for subtler shades. UD Naked Basics even subtler with lots of matts.
Two Faced Sweet Peach or one of their chocolate palettes are nice too.

It would have to be available from a department store or high street as dh is getting it. I have some of the naked dupes so not sure if it would be worth getting a naked one or just keep using the cheaper versions which I’m happy with.

If you want to get technical then look for mica as a first ingredient over talc, it's a more expensive ingredient and gives a smoother better finish. I believe the early Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes were made with mica (modern renaissance is a popular choice) but her newest palette subculture I believe is made with talc and has had mixed reviews.

There's also morphy palettes if you want to look at them, never owned one myself.

I agree about make up revolution by the way, they make really good dupes and it's a good way to get lots of choice and ranges affordably.

Debenhams sell Two Faced I believe.
urban Decay from most dept stores.
I think you’ll notice the difference if you’ve been using dupes.
That said if you’re happy....

KungFu, interesting point about mica. I heard the latest Anastasia wasn’t well rated.
Agree also that Morphe do good palettes and I think are cheaper.

Oh also always worth mentioning MAC where you can create your own palettes, which is great as most people tend to stick to a few favourites in a pre made palettes and some are completely unused, although might be a bigger task for your DH.

Do you want shimmers or matt or a mixture? What kind of colours do you like?

Well I say happy...I would of course like one of the naked ones but just can’t decide. Anyone got or tried the smoky or moon dust one. And what two faced palatte is good. I’ll have to do some research.

I would get a limited edition one like this Bobbi Brown holiday palette, I'd want something special that not many people have! Or a Chanel quad!!!

I bought a Charlotte Tilburt one - uptown girl - on the recommendation of Sali Hughes. I love it, like all palettes it is annoying that you get the same amount of each colour, but the colours are great for me (dark hair, pale skin). Was almost £50 I think from house of fraser.

What about the new Charlotte Tilbury one, Instant Eye palette. It's beautiful, scrap Bobbi Brown I'd get this one!

Urban decay smokey is excellent. I wear it most days. Very versatile for day as well as full on smoke for night. And the brush that come with it is really good too.

I have urban decay smokey and love it. The only thing I would say is that the shadows are very soft (and lovely to use because of that) but it does mean they don't last very long at all.

Good to hear about the UD ones. I saw that Charlotte tilbury one but yes a bit over budget. Anyone used the smashbox full exposure?

The Urban Decay palettes are on a price match promise with Fabled; and if you haven’t shopped with them yet you can get a 15% off in addition with a code (WELCOME15 I think)
