These - I'm pleasantly surprised! I do wish they had a proper zip fly but they look like real trousers once on and they're lovely and warm too. They didn't sag or slip down after being worn for a full day either.

Snailo Sat 04-Nov-17 08:04:55

They're lovely aren't they? I've got the black ones, they're comfy, smart and warm - love them!

Pistachiois50pmore Sat 04-Nov-17 10:44:19

I bought three pairs and I'm not going to wear anything else all winter!

Mugmugmugmug Sat 04-Nov-17 18:54:36

I'm very tempted to get more! What colour are yours, Pistachio? Mine are dark grey and so lovely

PorklessPie Sat 04-Nov-17 20:57:14

Ooh I need these! What is the sizing? I wear a size 10 usually. Thanks smile

PrivateParkin Sat 04-Nov-17 20:59:20

Porkless I'm a 14 and the large fitted me with a bit to spare, so for a 10 I guess a small would be ok?

PorklessPie Sat 04-Nov-17 21:01:35

Thanks Private smile what height are you? I'm just under 5ft 3. I'm hoping they are not too long.

mercurymaze Sat 04-Nov-17 21:02:38

i have some in brown (which is goldy yellow) and dark green. they're really lovely

PrivateParkin Sat 04-Nov-17 21:04:31

I'm about the same height as you Porkless and they were too long! Tbh I'm so used to trousers being too long I didn't even think to mention that, sorry. I just turned them up underneath which is what I do with pretty much all my trousers blush and they looked fine.

Trills Sat 04-Nov-17 21:24:28

Are those pockets fake?

Lucked Sat 04-Nov-17 21:33:46

The posters who find these a good fit how tall are you? I'm 5'10 and aware It is a Japanese company so expect them to be too short.

mercurymaze Sat 04-Nov-17 21:37:07

no the pockets are real smile

All uniqlo trousers are very long at 33 inches (for jeans) the leggings are very long on me and i'm 5.6

Trills Sat 04-Nov-17 21:50:53

OK I am sold.

If I am a 12 at the waist/bum but with unusually chunky legs, what size do I want?

mercurymaze Sat 04-Nov-17 22:15:46

Maybe the medium I am 14 and get large

Mugmugmugmug Sat 04-Nov-17 23:37:49

Front and back pockets are real! I'm 5ft4 and they're a little too long. I can just about fit into a small and I'm a size 12, but hoping to lose weight. My legs aren't very chunky though, it's my waist that's the main problem

ShovingLeopard Sat 04-Nov-17 23:44:50

Ooh, they're fab!! One question: do tops stick to the fabric and get rucked up?

SesameSparkle Sun 05-Nov-17 08:48:28

Oh they look great, I am tempted now..... smile

Strummerville Sun 05-Nov-17 09:08:18

I'm the only one who doesn't like them! The fabric looks nice and I love the colour (grey) but I find them quite stiff sad. I wore them the other day but changed after half an hour as just didn't feel comfortable. Mind you I am quite weird about fabrics and comfort so it's probably just me! I have velvet leggings (actual leggings) from Johnnie B and much prefer them.

Snailo/anyone: I can’t see them in black?

SkeletonSkins Thu 09-Nov-17 21:46:17

Are the black ones passable for work? Wondering if they look more like black leggings?

PrivateParkin Thu 09-Nov-17 23:15:54

I have got the black ones, and I wear mine for work - I think they are fine but I guess it depends how smart your office is!
lawn These are the ones I have, not actually sure now if they're the "velvet" ones or not confused

Gingefringe Wed 22-Nov-17 18:31:23

I got the black but they are strangely described as 'natural' or 'neutral' or something like that. I'm waiting the arrival of the dark green.

relaxitllbeok Wed 22-Nov-17 18:47:06

Datapoint: I'm a 12/14 and got Large and they're too big, going back.

Trills Fri 24-Nov-17 12:25:37

I got some, the large fit me better than the medium.

They do feel like they are "proper trousers" even though they are pull-up. I think it's the thicker velvet material that makes them feel that way.

These are the ones

I saw the others in store and they were a thinner material - still not as thin as leggings but thinner than most "real trousers" IYSWIM.

Thanks for the recommendation - I probably wouldn't have noticed them if it wasn't for this thread. smile
