My lovely friend has her sons wedding a week on Saturday. She thought she had her outfit all sorted but tried it on and now doesn’t feel it works. Her DH confirmed this feeling by hesitating before giving his opinion.
So now she has a lovely long fitted cream jacket but nothing to wear with it. We were thinking an antique rose silk long skirt would be lovely but after a major search online we can’t find one anywhere. She is tall 5’ 10”. Can anyone think of anywhere we might have not thought of that might stock such a thing. Thanks so much.

Any good?

Not rose, but pretty from Monsoon

Right colour, not sure about the style from House of Fraser

BlackAmericano. The style and colour of the HoF are lovely. Will send this to her because not sure how much of a deal breaker it not being silk is.

The Monsoon one is lovely but I think burgundy has been ruled out. Otherwise it’s lovely too.

Roosevelt. That’s pretty too but too short i think.

Thanks so much both of you.

This Brora skirt is beautiful but patterned

PLeated rose skirt

Coast blush high / low skirt

Metallic dusty pink

Chiffon blush

Pink satin

Remember John Lewis will deliver to a nearby Waitrose, if that's more convenient than home delivery or to a JL store

Patterned silk crepe de chine

Swishy cotton poplin

Pricy but elegant

Oleanna. Wow. Thank you soooo much. The Coast one and the last net a porter one look the nearest. You have got nearer than we have after googling for hours!

Is the bride ok with her wearing a long white coat to her wedding?

Itsanicehotel Thu 02-Nov-17 15:34:03

It’s dark cream and is a long jacket but shorter than coat - hip length. I think with other colours and accessories it won’t look bridal but that’s a good point.

Hope she finds something awesome to wear

ParadiseLaundry Thu 02-Nov-17 15:36:47

I honestly would get her to check. Some brides will be bothered, some will not but I definitely think it would be best to sound it out.

I can imagine seeing a thread entitled 'MIL wore a LONG WHITE COAT to my wedding angry' grin

Itsanicehotel Thu 02-Nov-17 15:42:53

paradise. I will tell her as always best to check but it’s cream and doesn’t look like a coat.

Itsanicehotel Thu 02-Nov-17 15:44:29

oleanna I hope so too. She’s reaching desperation level .

To be honest I would start again with a new outfit. Trying to match things up is a nightmare.

lynmilne. That’s so very kind of you. It would need to be 16 .
