£4 ! Trousers next clearance online !

Would never have even tried them on for £30 but I love them. Chuffed

2014newme Thu 02-Nov-17 09:19:30

I think your first instincts not to try them on were right but maybe they'd be better with flip-flops in summer? The short length and wide leg cut don't look right. Sorry

MismatchedCat Thu 02-Nov-17 09:48:54

They look fab, well done!

2014newme, I think we are all so used to skinny jeans that anything so wide and short looks odd. But this silhouette is the cutting-edge of trends right now, all part of the nineties revival. Best get used to it, because it will only become more popular!

Ididnthearanything Thu 02-Nov-17 09:49:51

Nice bargain OP. I like them on you too!

2014newme Thu 02-Nov-17 09:58:15

Ooo I am behind the times! Op is slim and I thought would look great in a slimmer fit. I'm out the loop!

2014newme Thu 02-Nov-17 09:58:50

90s revival? Please tell me shell suits aren't included!

buttwingsham Thu 02-Nov-17 09:59:22

Fab trousers they look great!
So nice to see new shapes I'm so over skinnys.

spankhurst Thu 02-Nov-17 10:00:19

But the 90s have only just finished haven't they??!

Dauphinoise Thu 02-Nov-17 10:01:51

They look good on you, but I'd look a sack of shit in something that baggy and wide

Fab bargain though

PolkaDottyRose Thu 02-Nov-17 10:09:18

I have these too, in every colour. I like them, obvs .

IjustbelieveinMe Thu 02-Nov-17 10:16:29

Is this a joke? They are awful!

fuckinguseless Thu 02-Nov-17 10:16:55

Burn them. Immediately.

Mulberrysilk Thu 02-Nov-17 10:49:06

I could see them with flip flops alright. I'm not entirely convinced on wearing boots with them.

Bratsandtwats Thu 02-Nov-17 11:40:48

Nope. Sorry, but I think they're hideous. There is usually a reason stuff ends up in the sale and it's not usually a good one.

sparechange Thu 02-Nov-17 12:40:40

Did you take the hem down or did they really sell them like that? shock

OnASummersDay Thu 02-Nov-17 12:43:56

I can't believe people are being so mean! Anonymity is not an allowance for rudeness. You wouldn't act in such a horrible manner in real life, people's true colours really do come out when they're hidden behind a keyboard.

OP, they look great on you. A fabulous bargain!

mowglik Thu 02-Nov-17 12:46:28

I just bought a pair like this from H&M, they look great OP. Might have a look at the other colours. They look good with trainers with a bit of ankle showing as well as ankle boots

2014newme Thu 02-Nov-17 12:50:34

The let down hem look doesn't go with formal boots though does it?

ScoobyDoosTinklyLaugh Thu 02-Nov-17 13:02:14

They're cool.

Swizzlesticks23 Thu 02-Nov-17 13:04:43

Don't like them with the boot

A loafer etc would look great

Rednailsandnaeknickers Thu 02-Nov-17 13:06:13

Even at £4, I’d still want the hems finished properly. It may be a trendy look, but to me it just looks tatty and unfinished. Sorry! <old gimmer here>

WipsGlitter Thu 02-Nov-17 13:19:53

They were certainly a bargain but they’re not that nice. Maybe as a beach trouser? Agree the unfinished hem and smart boots don’t really match.

430West Thu 02-Nov-17 13:27:09

You look fab OP, the let down hem and polished boot combo was big at Balenciaga. You need a long, oversized coat (camel maybe?) and you're good to go.

It is quite a 'dog whistle' look'll get a fist bump from me and others who realise that they are the 'now' thing, but a lot of people who don't understand fashion will laugh at you.

Pah, ignore the philistines!
