Creased leather skirt

Can I iron it?
Creases don't normally bother me, I just usually dampen things down, or steam them. But I have two very sharp creases in a leather skirt due to it being folded in my wardrobe.
I daren't try anything experimental.
Oh and it is lined in polyester.

I have no idea what "experimental" thing I might try. I don't think I should steam it.
