Best foundation for GIANT pores?

With the help of nip&fab I got rid of sebaceous filaments (mostly) and blackheads. However, my nose looks awful. It’s clean but looks like the landscape on the moon. Giant pores, uneven skin etc.
What foundation would you recommend for it? Every single one I’ve tried seems to accentuate the holes in my skin.
Doublewear, doublewear light, clinique and dior seem to be doing me no good. Any recommendations?

I would consider having a peel if I were you. I don't mean those really harsh ones. I had one done at a beautician and I was amazed at the results, it really does even up one's skin appearance in terms of texture and brightness.

oops should have added, although I'm sure you knew, makeup should go on much better. I use chanel foundation.

Could you recommend a specific one please?
I’ve had a few treatments and as much as they certainly improved the overall condition of my skin, they didn’t make any real difference to the volcanic landscape of my giant nose Grin

Are we allowed to say the name of beauticians on here? I'm also not sure what other areas they cover (as in nationally, not the body :)

I have large pores on the areas next to my nose and under my eye area. The only foundation I’ve found that does cover them a bit (not completely!) is MAC Studio fix foundation. With a clear setting powder on top, you can’t even really tell. Smile

Have you tried using a base under the foundation. I have one from Maybeline called baby skin and it sort of evens the pores out so when you apply foundation it doesn’t sink into the pores.

Estee Lauder's Idealist is amazing under ELDW foundation for total smoothness despite my massive pores.

Op what nip and fab product did you use and for how long?

I would be it interested in hearing more about the beauty treatment that might work. I have similar issues op (and a few more) and had 3 sessions of peels done in a dermatologist place. I think it cost around £250! Plus I bought a salicylic face wash and a glycolic gel and used it as suggested but honestly don’t see a great improvement and I still end up using biore strips!

hmmwhatatodo I’ve been using the night pads, glycolic fix night pads extreme. Been using them for 3 months now, every other night, just on the affected area, not on the whole face. Nothing has ever made such spectacular difference, I actually have people noticing and commenting om how much better my skin looks.
With regards to primer, I’ve been using benefit porefection (sp?) but can’t say that I’m loving it Confused

I've also got massive pores and have tried everything and spent a fortune on peels, microdermabrasion, expensive primers and bases and every type of foundation you can imagine, and in the end I've found I look best in cheap & cheerful MaxFactor Lasting Performance, with no primer underneath.

Cheap and cheerful! I like! I need to investigate.

Well I went out and bought the nip and fab pads as recommended by the op. Had to try them out of course and my skin feels tighter than it does with the other salicylic face wash and glycolic gel I have so I think I will only use them twice a week and not all over the face so let’s see!

I can’t use them on the whole face either, just T zone. I think my cheeks would fall off if I did it to them every other day Halloween Grin

I can cover large pores with Chanel CC cream , gives excellent smooth skin results.
Clarins also do tinted moisturisers that have the same smoothing effect without making pores visible , the colours are quite dark though.

I also find Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser is good but it doesn't last long on my combination skin.

Laura Mercier powder foundation is good too as long as make sure my skin is well moisturised prior to applying.

Totally agree with ggirl, the Chanel CC cream is brilliant.

I had laser treatment for thread veins which had the side effect of making my nose pores much smaller. Was a happy side effect

I would definitely see a dermatologist for some recommendations
