Anyone had boots custom made from The Boot Maker?

I have short dumpy legs with wide calves so most high street knee high boots don't fit. I have seen this company online and wondered if anyone had any experience of them.

I get mine from Duo Boots - never tried that website though. My legs are narrow but they do up to I think a 50cm calf size.

My problem is my short legs combined with the wide calves which is why I need custom sizes.

Yes and they have had them years. I'm not huge but have small feet, a very high instep and massive calves

My only trouble is I chose a design with elasticated insets and poppers at the back. Neither of which have lasted so I will choose a different design next time.

Thanks mrsnec, that's very encouraging.

My worry is that when I look at reviews all the ones in the last couple of years are negative. Before that it's all positive. I'm wondering if they have changed management and the service has gone downhill. It would be great to hear from someone who has bought from them more recently.

I used to buy from Duo but now they've become Ted & Muffy, they're too pricey. So I'm also looking for a new supply of wide leg boots.
