Help me find some tops!!

I know this is very vague but after losing quite a bit of weight I'm currently overhauling my wardrobe. I'm 35 and now a size 10-12 and seem to be living in t-shirts at the moment which is fine day to day with DS2 but I do like to dress up when I go out.
I'd like some casual tops to wear with jeans that look like I've made an effort! No cold shoulders, happy with more fitted things too. Also dressy tops, again for jeans which I could wear for a smart/casual night out. Style wise, I like current trends, don't mind more classic stuff too, but nothing too 'out there' Any suggestions welcome!

No advice but am also looking for tops. Bottoms are easy for me but I struggled with the top hang for some reason.

I know, it's difficult. I know which cut of jeans suit me, but I don't want to keep falling back on t-shirts. Hopefully someone will be along who likes a challenge!!

Mint velvet are my go to for evening / slightly dressier tops, daytime Hush, White Company are pretty good.

Recently bought the shirt linked ( and I'm not a shirt person normally) It's really nice and easily dressed up or down, also the Hush Cannes Overlay top is nice with jeans or smarter black trousers.

Also a lot depends on whether you plan on loosing more weight as obviously don't want to blow the budget on something that won't fit in a few months.

I also find that Hush style their clothes really well on the website so looking at that may give you some ideas even if you don't buy from them.

Have you browsed ASOS? They do such a variety and it’s quite cheap. I think you’ll just need to experiment

Not looked at hush before but love that shirt. Great suggestions thanks, I'll check out ASOS too.

I got a lovely dark green wrap style from Other stories, I absolutely love it and will go really well with jeans or smart trousers

I bought both of these online from New Look recently. The floral one looks better on me tucked in with jeans rather than tucked out. Both good for smart/casual nights out imo.
