How fat is too fat for jeans?

I wear dresses that are knee length because I think 'I can be fat and wear horrible clothes or I can be fat and wear this nice thing', but for some reason I don't wear jeans.

My legs are massive. I usually wear a size 18/20 top/dress. I just measured my legs and it's 27 inches round the middle of my thigh and 19 on my calf! Blush

I do however need casual stuff to schlep about in and to wear to the park/shops etc.

Am I just too fat thorough? Will you be able to see my cellulite?

If you can find some that fit, then there is no such thing as too fat for jeans.

Of course you can wear jeans.

Your legs sound curvy and gorgeous.

Cellulite? Pah. No one ever notices cellulite on other people. Especially through denim!!

Get a nice dark pair if you're feeling self-conscious.

People come in all shapes and sizes. Have you found some you like wearing? If so go for it!

Jeans look good on anyone as long as they fit well. And you don't have a short top on. Have you tried jeggings, they don't have the bulky zips and buttons on? I'm a size 18/20 and live in jeggings/treggings from M & S or Dorothy Perkins, with long tunic tops.

I'm a 22 and live in jeans. If they make them, wear them.

Bikinis, hotpants, halternecks, whatever. Jeans are inoffensive!

I'm v big and I can't find jeans that are comfortable due to stomach rolls:( it's like a while extra limb. I tend to live in leggings and tunics but would prefer jeans. I'm struggling to lose weight.

Highly recommend John Rocha jeans at Debenhams.

Alternatively, Tesco's jeans and some of the M&S ones - the latter do have some high waisted styles.

Of course you can wear jeans! I'd never even consider anyone being 'too fat for jeans!'

I've recently gone from a size22 to 16, I only now feel comfortable wearing jeans - it's very personal though.

My biggest pair of jeans was 26. Now down to a 20 and still going. No such thing as too fat for jeans, that’s daft.

ASD I think I'm similar. If I got down to 16 and had some sort of waist for the top of the jeans to sit on it would be more comfortable. the

What are "treggings"?

Thanks for the comments. Upon the recommendation of a friend I have ordered the £19.50 skinny high waist jeans from m&s as well as their sculpt and shape in slim. I shall report back!

My Sister, who is a size 20 and five foot, swears by M&S jeans/jeggins.

Your legs don't sound that big! My thighs are 24/25 around and I'm a 12.

I’m a size 20 (and going down 🤞🏻) and I find that ASDA jeans are amazing! I only wear black skinny jeans though because they make my legs look nice Grin

Wear dark jeans with a long top if you feel self conscious. They are so versatile. You're allowed to wear whatever you want. If they make them in your size, wear them.

Treggings are a cross between trousers and leggings.....M & S do some great ones, that are skinny fit and much much thicker than leggings so you can feel fairly smart in them.

If you can find comfy jeans in your size - wear them!

I am pretty sure cellulite doesn't show through denim.

Not too fat for jeans! In the nicest possible way, you're not going to look like a size ten in your lovely skirts, nor would you in jeans. But I'm sure you will look like a nicely styled woman in jeans in the same way as you do in your skirts

My friend would be bigger than you. She wears jeans. They look good on her. She probably has cellulite (most people do?) but you certainly can’t see it through the jeans.

Do you know what you should wear jeans if you want to and you find some you like. I don’t think there’s such a thing as “too far for something” if you want to wear it wear and rock it.

As ladies we shouldn’t body shame each other and spend more time building each other up!

I love the Asda slim fit jeans/jeggings. The fit really well and are so comfy. Mine have got a hole in (damn you thighs) but I can’t/won’t throw them away!
