Waves without heat?

I usually wash my hair in the evening. Even though I blow dry it straight, it usually has a kinky sort of wave in it by the morning where I've slept on it. I don't mind embracing the natural wave but at the moment it just looks a mess by the morning.

So I wondered if I could put some kind of product in at night that would help the wave look better in the morning?

I want to avoid other heated products or faffing about curlers in the boudoir...

What might be best for this as I am bit clueless? I have mid length mid thick hair.

Plait it at night. My hair looks like this after a french plait has been in it overnight

My hair is similar.
I really like this for a bedhead, slightly wavy look. I spray and scrunch in the morning and good to go:

Thank you, I'd prefer to avoid plaits or curls if possible really. I'd like something you can spray or apply in the hair and it just looks good without looking frizzy.

Will have a look at that Boots link.

What about the bendy roller thingys- not sure of real name. Like sticks , about pencil length, covered in foam - can get them from boots. TBH not sure how else to make curls other than pinning with Kirby grips ( which would be a faff) if you'd rather not use heat or plaits. Only final thing I can think of is two buns - positions so that they don't annoy you when you sleep.

YouTube search it you can use sleep in rollers that are soft so they don't bother you. Ive heard of wrapping your hair in an old tshirt. When ever I wake up I look like that girl in frozen.limp frizzy and greasy. My hair has been doing my head in at the mo nothing works straightening leaving it natural wearing it up hair masks.

Try John Frieda air dry waves foam. You scrunch it through wet hair and let it dry naturally. It leaves you with soft, non-sticky waves.

Thank you. I should have been clearer sorry. I don't want rollers etc so as still to look vaguely attractive in front of DH!

Will check out the foam.

Thanks again

I'd suggest having a look at curly girl method, which might help you towards getting a nice frizz free wavy look. I wash my hair in something SLS free and comb conditioner through (which is the only time a brush goes anywhere near). Then I wrap my wet hair in an old t shirt rather than towel, and when it's not sopping anymore I'll put a dollop of curl cream through with my hands and go to bed with wet hair. In the morning I might spritz with leave in conditioner. My hair's much nicer if I wash in the morning, but this still works well for me.

The Bumble and Bumble air dry cream is nice for this. I use it in the morning after washing my hair and it gives me waves and a nice texture. Imagine it would work overnight too
