Boots No.7 in the purple metallic tube...lovely lashes, I think. I've tried TONS this beats Tillbury, Lancome, MAC, YSL and many, many more. I stock up when eg 3for2 or with vouchers.

Max Factor masterpiece max. I've tried loads of others, and I keep coming back to it because it is the best. I don't bother with the waterproof version, because the normal one doesn't smudge at all.

Max Factor 2000 calorie. The waterproof one isn't as good though. I've used this mascara since I was about 17 and not found a better one yet.

Maybelline. I've been using the one in the pink tube recently, but most of them are OK.

The new L'oreal Paradise. Absolutely gorgeous lashes. Sadly it dries out within a month. But still worth trying when it's on a 3 for 2 as it's fluttery and feathery and beautiful.

Good old Maybelline Great Lash (the one in the pink tube with the green lid). I've been using it since I was a teenager and, though I have tried other mascara, I always slink back to Great Lash with my tail between my legs.

I always, always go back to Max Factor false lash effect after being a mascara junkie for years and trying high end, low end and everything in between.

Boots No7, can't remember which one but it's in a plain black tube. Used to really like a Maybelline one with a very small brush but hadn't been able to find it for ages so switched allegiance.

it's this one www.boots.com/seventeen-falsifeye-hd-mascara-10179312

Ran out of my usual and read good reviews, so thought I'd give it a go. It's brilliant! It doesn't give you false looking eyelashes (didn't want them anyway) It thickens every lash, doesn't clump, doesn't flake and doesn't irritate. I'd would never have even looked at this range, I think I'm way outside their demographic but it's really good and think I'm not the only one, because I have to grab one when I see it, as they're usually sold out.

I've never hit in with great lash - I've tried it variously over the years.m and it seems thin and weedy on my eyelashes.

Maybelline do the best waterproof ones though so I always buy maybelline for holidays Smile

I like Bourjois, the one in a triangular tube.

Also Max Factor Calorie 2000.

And I really liked the Baby Doll one but found it dried out quicker. Good when it's going though.

Will now try the Boots no7 from a recommendation upthread!

Ok bit of a stretch at £26 but Lancôme grandiose mascara. It was originally bought as a gift (I never would have paid that much as never found one I liked enough to stick to) but I would never change back now.

Rimmel Wonderfull with Argan Oil.
Goes on really well and I seem to have had the same one for months (used daily)
Less than £10 and always on 3 for 2 etc in Boots and Superdrug.

Another vote for rimmel wonderfull, I've repeat purchased about 5 times, doesn't clump and keeps lashes nice and soft rather than crispy.love it

Another vote for Essence in Wilkos, really good quality make up and better than high end stuff I've had. Mascaras, eyebrow pallette, eye liners and nail polishes are particularly good.

No7 mascaras are excellent, IME.

I also like L'Oreal Telescopic and have just started using a Bourgeois one called Ultra something which I really like - nice and buildable.

I have a theory though that most people leave it too late to buy a new mascara, by which point their old one is sticky and dry and horrible, so anything new seems mind-blowing!

Do you use the beauty collective group on Facebook? There are loads of good advice there. Good offers and duplicates of high end brands. Its really useful

Another note here for Bourjois in the triangular tube. The mascara is really good and having the built in mirror is a real bonus. My other 'go to' is L'Oreal Telescopic.
