Well, bit of an exaggeration, but its awful. I have the full whack, its everywhere on my body except face, feet and fanny its bright red and sooo dry. Coming up to winter it gets so much worse. I've improved it massively by using exfoliating gloves and a rich moisturiser but the redness persists and the bumps never fully go.

I need rid of it. Please could I have your best products, regimes, vitamins, diet tips anything! Thank you..

Glycolic acid. I smear the Superdrug Glycolic Overnight Peel on my upper arms. I wish they sold it in massive tubs though rather than just the 30 ml tubes.

Lactic acid also works.

I found coconut oil helped mine (on my upper arms) a lot. However, it did nothing for my friend who had KP on the same area so maybe worth a try but sadly not a sure fix.

Other than that, definitely try some chemical exfoliation which seems to work much better than physical for KP.

Ameliorate body lotion is good for it or ummm pregnancy which may be a tad extreme.

Korean Italy Towels are great for KP. I use mine once a week after a good soak in the bath and my skin is lovely and soft. Nip & Fab do a moisturiser that contains Glycolic Acid that's fab, too.

I take 1000mg cod liver oil every day (for my joints) and find it keeps that the mild KP I used to have on my upper arms under control. HTH Smile.

I find that any cream with Urea in it gets rid of mine. I just use it every 6 months or so when it comes back.
I think the one I use is a Eucerin one but I just check the label for Urea.

I found that mine started to disappear when I gave up gluten and cut out some dairy foods . It wasn't an overnight thing, but a gradual improvement over several months.

You need a cream with a high percentage of urea in it , works a treat.

Glycolic acid was so much more effective for my KP than the Eucerin urea cream.

Mine is almost gone now but it used to be awful, I picked my arms until they looked terrible.

I make my own body scrub with sugar and olive oil which I use on dry skin then shower off. I use Palmers cocoa butter (in the jar) liberally- it's marvellous stuff and has transformed my kp.

I have found ameliorate to be useless. at the moment I'm trying aveeno emollient from their baby range. the only thing that made mine better was pregnancy but it's back now Sad mines never itchy though so maybe it's different. i don't have dry skin at all but I have tons of chicken skin.

Korea italy exoliating kit from amazon (green one) had really helped mine, ask glycolic acid and keeping it moisturised. you have to be pretty strict and not forget!

Mine cut down by going gluten free so don't discount diet :)

I noticed mine disappeared on a sun holiday, and was gone for months. Best thing I've found now, is L'Occitane almond shower oil...I haven't had any reoccurrence since I started using it.

I use the nip and fab glycolic scrub on mine and the put this cream on. It’s not gone but it’s hugely reduced. www.ebay.co.uk/i/351888924785

Giving up gluten for me too, it's worth it. You soon get used to the diet change.

Mine disappeared when I went completely gluten free 7 years ago, (I'd had it since mid teens, chicken skin arms and legs, lots of random rashes too). My skin was embarrassing to even look at (strangely not really my face which had redness/thread veins but very few spots.

If you've not had a blood test for coeliac within the last couple of years, it might be a good idea to test/retest as there seems to be an association. If the test is negative, why not try an exclusion diet for a month or two and see if your skin improves.

If you are intolerant to gluten, allergic, or have coeliac (autoimmune), then the damage and inflammation in your digestive tract may mean you also react to dairy and/or eggs, although those reactions may improve over time once you are gluten free.
