Can anyone give me an idea what uniqlo down jackets (not the lightweight ones) are like for sizing please? I'm 12-14 hourglass. Biggish boobs and hips. No idea whether I need medium or large there as not got any branches in this part of uk. Any advice much appreciated.

I tried on recently (one of the knee length kind). I am around 14 on top and 12 on bottom and also tall. The medium did up fine and looked better on the bottom half, but probably not enough room for a jumper underneath. The large was better on top and bit too roomy on the bottom. I was undecided and left it for now. Sorry that's not more helpful!

That's a help definitely ooh because I'm nearer 12 on top and 14 on bottom so think.a large might work. Thanks

I’ve found them pretty small in the past so I think you’d want a large.

Right, I'm going to order large one. Thanks for helping.

I'm a 14 with a big butt so wear an xl so I could fit a jumper under. the large was a bit tight around the bum. sounds like you need a large. remember it's tiny japanese sizing :)

Definitely get the Large - their sizing is not generous. I'm a tall 12/14 and large is good for me

I agree, large.
I'm a broad-shouldered 10 and have a medium and it's definitely not too big.

Is down ok in the rain though?
Or does it clump?

Really love the down jackets but had a conversation with someone and they said they are not good in the rain? Sorry a bit off topic.

no they are absolutley not waterproof

I am a generous 14 and bought a large - its quite close fitting but I wear it UNDER a longish waterproof coat! I only wear it on its own if its chilly but not raining.

The quality has seriously deteriorated in the past few years. I bought one around 4 years ago and it’s still going great guns, but I fancied a longer length one, so went to have a look. The material used now is completely different and doesn’t look the same quality. If you read the reviews online many seem to agree!
