Your ultimate, perfect eyeliner

I think I've tried most eyeliners under the sun!

Liquid ones don't seem to have enough pigment - tried stila (probably the best), Kat Von D, Charlotte Tilbury etc

Pencil liner - probably perversion by Urban Decay is best for pigmentation but good god it doesn't last more than 3-4 weeks!

Besides which they all seem to end up panda-ing my eyes by 5pm

I've now read reviews of the Marc Jacobs gel pencils and the liquid eyeliners. They're ££ but I'm happy to pay for good pigmentation and a lack of smudge! Has anyone tried these or have I missed any other decent ones?

Rimmel. Has a long brush. Simple and been using since approx 1993. I've tried loooooads.

You need a steady hand though

I find the best is to use some good quality powder eyeshadow with a very fine brush, dry. I use a dark brown Chanel one. I have never found a pencil liner I really like that is fine and dark enough. And I have grown out of liquid although I find YSL the best for that.

I love my Bobbi Brown gel one in a pot. The BB one is also the only one I have tried with a thin enough brush. It stays put!

I like my liner super black and the best one I've found is soap & glory smoulder kohl, it also come with a handy sharpener in the lid.

L'Oréal superliner- liquid with lots of pigment, never ever smudges. Best one I've ever used.

Bobbi Brown waterproof pencil is only one that stays put.

Currently loving Mac Technakohl. They are twisty ones, so don't need sharpening. Gave up on Urban Decay for the reason you mention.

I use a pencil and set it with powder on top

Avon glimmerstick. Love it. Goes on really smooth and twists out so no sharpening.

Essence twist up ones from Wilko. £1.50 and I like them better than Glimmersticks! I have them in five colours! So easy to apply and stays on all day.

Seventeen Tattoo Me. Very black liquid eyeliner which never moves and absolutely everything else smudges on me.

Plus, it's a fiver.

I like Urban Decays 24/7 pencil in zero!

DHC is fantastic. It is a superfine brush which looks like a felt tip. You can get the finest line. My friend complimented me on it today.

Wow.
I'm going to be trying a load of eyeliners as there seems to be very little consensus!!!

When I used to do gel and a brush every day (which I think looks better than liquid), my favourite was Shu Uemura painting liner. But you can't get that any more. Topshop was a good 2nd. Both much better than MAC fluidline.

Now I have a kid so I do the more idiot-proof bronzey smudge (MAC Powersurge and Teddy pencils blended together).
