Help me decide what to wear - dinner and casino!

Friends have a big anniversary coming up soon and we're invited for dinner and night out at the casino in Brighton. Very stylish bunch of 35-45 year olds (and I mean stylish not trendy). Haven't been out in Brighton (or anywhere for that matter) for ages due to life with young children.I'm thinking what I might already have that could work but also happy to purchase if it's something I'll get wear out of over Christmas etc. (limited budget though £100 absolute max!!) Suggestions please?! Outfit ideas including footwear.

I'd go for a LBD - nothing to glittery or glam but nice jewels.
