Has anyone found a good black corduroy pinafore dress they can recommend? I saw one from F&F cheapish...

I was searching for these myself yesterday! I want one in dark red or forest green. The ones I've seen are all much too short, I want one to the knee at least.

Fat Face have one that comes in maroon and navy. No black though I'm afraid.

Thank you. I don't mind short because I'd put it with thick black tights but having young children it's probably best not too short for bending over!! The Fat Face Ines are a good length

This looks lovely but what is it with Seasalt stock availability and mark-ups on pricing lately

I saw this one in Debenhams. Now in sale.

I got on dark red one from George a couple of days ago after seeing the Fat Face one at the weekend. Very similar in design but lots cheaper!

I got one in oasis last week in a burgundy colour. I'll look for a link.

Ooooh! I've been looking for one too! 😊

I also want some cord skinnies. I love corduroy! ❤️

What do you all wear underneath them?

Quite fancying one but need something warmer than a shirt. I like cord. I bought a burgandy cord skirt last week.

Primark has a lovely plum one! I found the sizing a bit weird, but that might just be my massive norks. I wear long-sleeved t-shirts underneath, although I also wear them with everything....

My 8 year old wears these corduroy pinafores! I think they look quite dreadful on adults.

I've a feeling my boobs won't get on with a pinafore.

Cakescakescakes Thu 21-Sep-17 22:51:11

I wear a shirt, long sleeved breton top or a roll neck top (the basic £17.50 M&S ones come in loads of colours and are a nice slim fit).

And I'm totally fine with wearing a dress like an 8 yr old. Wouldn't it be a very boring world if we all looked the same smile

I've just ordered the asda one in Burgandy and floral. Bargain at £16 each!

Ivymaud Fri 22-Sep-17 01:07:18

Well they're everywhere at the moment, very fashionable. So I'm not saying it would be out of place, just I personally couldn't at risk of matching the 8 year old grin

Gap cord skinnies are amazing; I buy a new navy pair each year and live in them.

Last winter Dorothy Perkins did about 7 or 8 different cord pinafore dresses and I ended up buying most colour ways (I teach and they're so practical for school). If you check ebay there are usually loads listed in various sizes.
