Well, summer barely happened so we're ready to pack away the shorts and the kaftans and get excited about boots, cosy knits and anything new and shiny.
We're often scared to link what we're lusting after for fear of lurkers buying it before we have the chance. So if you're a lurker, come and join us.
Carrying on from here

I have a wish list as long as my arm. Some things have been ordered, some I have my eye on and some probably won't ever exist.
Wish list so far consists of....
Grey leather boots (unsure about style but need to be flattish)
Black boots or shoes to wear with dresses
Navy day dress
Black going out trousers (sadly the midriff spread doesn't enable me to fit in my current ones and if I'm honest they've always been a but tight anyway)
Grey coat
New scarf as last years got a bit bobbled and tatty
Navy hat
Navy blouses (can never have too many)
Trainers/pumps-keep,changing my mind what colour
Burgundy/purple bag
Silver hoop earrings with stars

Think that's it for now. And it's still only August Grin

Oh, apologies for anyone still in summer mode and not really wanting to think about autumn yet.

OP posts:
queencerulean · 24/08/2017 21:06

Is anyone coming to join me......

The September Issue. Inspired!

Good one QueenC exactly what we need, a new thread to dust things off.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/08/2017 21:18

Thanks for new thread QueenC! Wow that's quite a list. I love the start of autumn, shopping wise.

My wish list
Graphic/slogan tee (yours are both cool Shop, thanks for inspo!)
Chain handle black bag
Camel wrap coat (got my eye on one)
LBD
Gold hoop earrings (got some super cheap ones and have been loving them)

More than I thought!
But I don't need any clothes. Grin I really need to do quite a bit of ebaying, or maybe a dress agency.

queencerulean · 24/08/2017 21:21

Will a couple of confessional links lure you all in?

I decided I needed a new going out winter dress. My current whistles navy lace dress has always been too big and although I utterly love my cobalt blue whistles bodycon dress I just feel so self conscious in it. So I decided I wanted this dress and the fashion gods looked down on me. It had been out of stock for ages but after stalking it for what seemed like an eternity one came in stock in my size! I'm going to take the other 2 dresses to our last cal dress agency and hope they sell!

Woohoo, you've found me!

Because I love the lipstick queen frog prince pink, I ordered this one. Lovely shade of subtle berry.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/08/2017 21:24

Gorgeous whistles dress!

queencerulean · 24/08/2017 21:25

It came in a set with this one which i also quite like although not as much as the other one.

OP posts:
queencerulean · 24/08/2017 21:28

Thanks blair. I don't need any new clothes either but aside from burning my iPad, never speaking to you lot again and never setting foot in a shop I am always going to be tempted.

My trouble is, I love what I buy but then get bored of it a year or two later.

OP posts:
BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/08/2017 21:38

Ha that is so true. There will always be shops to browse. I've definitely slowed down buying things though, my wardrobes are full and I don't get the same "urge" - not sure why. These days I only keep things if I love them and have planned them as part of several outfits. I recently realised that I have yet to wear maybe 7 of the last 10 clothing items I bought, which is pretty bad, that never normally happens!

maradesbois · 24/08/2017 21:57

Phew, I found you

Just wrote a post for old thread and tried to send but it wouldn't let me, couldn't understand it. Have it saved so here you go anyway!

Evening Voguettes,

Lovely kimono Bernice, can picture you in it. Although we've never met irl feel I can really visualise your style Smile.

Holidays are going great here, lots of time abroad now back in UK but lots of travelling around visiting friends and family. Resenting the price of petrol, costs over £100 to fill my tank, car is a big bastard and takes at least 100 litres but even so, can't help but see it in terms of pairs of shoes I could've owned! On a similar note am shocked at the price of pet insurance QueenC.

Am excited about autumn fashion, love the velvet and nods to the 70s such floral midi dresses and knee boots. The expensive marant beauty I linked a while ago is still on my wishlist but meanwhile treated myself to this high st hero from H&M today. Will be good with sandals or trainers for now then tan knee boots that I don't yet own for autumn.

maradesbois · 24/08/2017 22:03

Thanks for setting up thread QueenC, love the intro. Have my copy of the real September Vogue for perusal this weekend, going away to the countryside with the family.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 24/08/2017 22:07

thanks for setting up the thread queenC

i haven't got a clue what i want for autumn/winter, i just have zero urge to shop still. anything i do like the look of won't suit my current size and shape. i am starting a healthy eating plan when we get home from being up visiting family this week so hopefully i can shift at least a bit of the weight

Dreamqueen · 25/08/2017 06:48

Thank you for new thread QueenC

I love that navy dress. Can picture you looking lovely in it QueenC Also love that dress Mara

Having said earlier that I don't want /need anything actually I do.

Black dressy flat shoes
Tan boots similar to pistols
Cashmere long oversized open fronted cardigan in black
Black all Saints biker jacket

My sister is going to Miami soon and has offered to shop for me. Any suggestions of must buys please?

shopafrolic · 25/08/2017 08:07

Marking place as we're off to Norfolk. Will link purchases and lust list when back - have fun Voguettes and thanks for the September Issue QUeenC

Everyonelovessparkles · 25/08/2017 08:17

Thanks for the new thread queenc. That whistles dress is lovely.

My wish / want list for A/W is currently quite short (I'm sure that will change though!)

Black ballet flats
Tan flat ankle boots
Shoes to wear with navy outfits
Smartish waterproof coat

I always find for winter I need lots more shoes than in summer, does any one else find that?

Everyone sounds like they are having a nice summer, though I can't believe how autumnal it is. It's dark here just after 8. Winter is coming Grin

Everyonelovessparkles · 25/08/2017 08:31

I saw on another thread that the arket website seems to be live in case any one was interested. //Www.arket.com

BerniceBobsHerHair · 25/08/2017 08:46

Thanks for the thread QueenC.

That dress is perfect for you in every way Wink. Can you link the GD top or would you rather not yet?

I'm tempted by the frog lipstick too, as well as the one you linked - is there a RL shop to try it on though? I have only ever seen it online.

That's a nice dress Mara.

I am still in summer mode but interested to hear what everyone is thinking of for AW. I am going try to hold off getting anything until November, but you all know how well that normally pans out for me Grin

Jem if you are still about, how did you fare with the SE Trinas? I found a pair for only £36 in a smaller size than I had previously tried and actually they are much better so am pleased with them. Need to get as much wear before the weather turns bad!

Have a nice break in Norfolk Shop, nice to see you back.

Waves to all.

queencerulean · 25/08/2017 08:48

everyone I noticed that the other day too about how dark it was so early. I always have more shoes in summer as I love ballet flats. I'd like a selection of boots this year but just depends whether I can afford it.
mara I'd love to be able to wear that dress but it would look awful on me. I can imagine bernice in it too.
Just got the car insurance renewal in-even that's cheaper than the cats!!!
Off to the chiropractor later this morning. He worked miracles last week but the effects are wearing off so it will be much needed. Not sure whether I said that I bought a Fitbit last weekend (early birthday present).I decided that my running days are well and truly behind me so I'm going to focus on power walking but wanted this for encouragement. I'm obsessed with reaching the 10000 steps each day and am driving dh mad by pacing round the house every evening Grin

Meant to say, has anyone tried Nordic walking?

Thanks for new thread QueenC. I haven't tried nordic walking but a colleague a few years ago got into it and lost a startling amount of weight.

Mara I love that H&M dress, and QueenC the Whistle navy dress looks perfect for you.

I have a horrible hangover this morning after a few too many drinks with some work colleagues last night - I need to reign it in a bit, have drunk way more than usual over the last few weeks and I'm not liking the resulting constant sluggishness at all.

Bernice I think you are right that I won't find similar orange loafers anywhere else but I really can't order from the Outnet. I have reconciled with my DHL man Grin, just cannot sit in all day waiting for him atm. I have retreated to the local library today to work while DH continues packing etc.

I don't really have a wishlist as I can't really shop much for the next 3/4 months while we travel around - might treat myself to a piece of jewellery somewhere along the way - I bought some big gold hoops in Whistle a couple of weeks ago and have been wearing them non stop so maybe will get some in real gold. I absolutely love the jewellery in Whistles atm

queencerulean · 25/08/2017 13:20

bernice think we must have cross posted this morning. This is the top. It will have to be really pretty stunning for the price for me to keep it.
My warehouse order has arrived but expecting a plumber anytime now so don't want to get half naked just yet.
Chiropractor put me through my paces again and I grunted my way through the pain. He laughed at the Nordic walking saying it's for 80yo Grin

FedupNagging · 25/08/2017 19:47

Thanks for the new thread Queen. Hope you like the top.

Have had a quick catch up and can safely say that I will NOT be purchasing a t shirt with my year of birth Grin

I looked at Arket earlier - it's very Cos-esque - I love the shapeless look but it doesn't always love me. I am loving the fact that wide legged trousers are around though.

I managed a quick detour in Zara today and amazingly, it didn't resemble a jumble sale saw this coat - I wondered if it would be a good replacement for my Boden coatigan which I LOVE and have worn to death? I'll try on when I have more time.

My ootd was this White Stuff breton dress and trinas but I caught sight of myself in a mirror in Zara and looked decidedly frumpy. It's a lovely dress but I think I'll consign it to hot day home and holiday wear.

I like the earrings you've purchased Lib - I have a similar pair of the stacked ones from Accessorise which have seen a lot of wear recently.

Mara that is a lovely dress and perfect for you (& *Bernice). I noticed today that there are still lots of 70's inspired dresses around for A/W in lovely colours and patterns especially if you're an autumn.

The only purchase I made for me today was a chubby stick in grey.
