How are you applying so it doesn't remove your foundation etc. I've got a liquid one I couldn't manage and just bought a Barry m strobe stick. Exactly the same issue. What am I doing wrong?

I only use powder ones really. You can mix a drop of liquid ones with foundation for a glow or apply under foundation

Use a small, soft brush (I think mine is Ecotools but loads of brands do them) and just put it on lightly. If you're using a strobe stick warm the product up a little then use the brush or even your finger to apply it rather than the stick itself.

Or use a nice creamy compact highlighter - I have one by Becca and it goes on beautifully over foundation.

I use powder but I find the best for liquid is to dab with a beauty blender. Never rub in as then that's when it goes patchy and looks terrible!

Thanks all maybe I'm just too heavy handed as I tried with the egg sponge. I will try with a soft brush tomorrow

A stupid question but where on the face do you apply the highlighter is it under the eyes?

Cheekbones, can use a tiny bit on the browbone too and on Cupid's bow. But for day time I tend to just do cheekbones

Above blusher?

Ollivander84 Tue 22-Aug-17 22:36:43

Yep. I do cheekbones with highlight then blush blended over it
Sort of like this

Thanks. I still think of you with the serum! grin blush
