Really dark prescription sunglasses

Anyone managed to successfully get any prescription sunglasses that actually work as sunglasses - ive had them previously and, due to legal driving requirements, opticians have always said can only go down to a certain level of darkness - as a result they've never been off much use for intended purpose! Bit bonkers as it's possible to buy normal sunglasses which are v dark.

Help please!!

Mine are a dark grey tint plus polarised lenses, that helps. (Although not great for looking at phones!)

& are you OK with them in really bright sunlight eg beach?

I have some. Really bright light hurts my eyes and it would be dangerous for me to drive in sunglasses that didn't reduce the brightness sufficiently for me. I got mine from Boots. I didn't tell them I was using them for driving, I just said I needed sunglasses.

Boots here too. You can choose the colour and darkness if the lenses.

I've just got some blue light blocking ones to see if they help me, i squint on any bright-ish day and get migraines from bright light. They seem much better than my previous ones.

Mine are OK but I don't really have anything to compare them with. I do get migraines and hide behind them on bright days.

The other thing is they are a wrap around sports style so I can use them for cycling should I ever get off my ass I think that helps as much as the tint of the lenses TBH. They sit really close to the face. Bolle do frames like this.

I have Rx Osiris sunglasses from Specsavers. They're as good as my Oakley non Rx (when I wear contacts).

Try different coloured tints. Dc2 finds the brown tint the most helpful.
