Hi, I'm off to a festival in the next few weeks and would like some cheap and cheerful lippies/ make up to take with me. Cheap just in case it gets lost and the fact I'm in the middle of buying a house. Has anyone used the primark stuff, is it any good? Also seen their nail varnish which look like some nice colours are they any good or will they end up chipped after 5 minutes? Thanks

Love their highlighters have a few in my kit, their lippys last well too. Don't like the nail polish, their stick on nails are lovely though x

I've heard great things about their Matte foundation, I have a primer which is excellent, stick on nails brilliant, the mascara is fab, as is the matte lip gloss. Highlighters are also well worth a buy.

I like the bright red lip crayon thing. The thinner black one, not the white crayon, because the lid doesn't stay on that one.

I like their foundation stick too, but that might just be because the colour is perfect on me.

Great, so steer clear of the nail varnish.

I might buy a few bits and bobs to have a play with then as it won't break the bank. Thanks

Some of the nails are really long but Iv trimmed them down and filled the end and they've done for weekends away & stuff!

The nail polish has lasted really well on me! The matte top coat is amazing as well.

The matt lip crayons are lovely!

The false lash effect mascara is fab.

There £3 lipsticks are fab.

Looks like it's well worth a trip then, thank you 😊

I like their gel nail varnish, it lasts well and nice to put on.

I bought the highlighting palette that is supposed to be a dupe for the Anastasia one and it's brilliant for £4

I really quite like primark makeup. I brought it for my daughter for playing with and ended up pinching it back to use of myself. The bronzer pallet is lovely

I've just bought the cream blush in a stuck and loose powder and a smal nail polish - al really good so far

applespearsbears Thu 17-Aug-17 22:40:18

Stick!

If you like a flicky eye then the eyeliner felt pens are the best I've ever used

I haven't tried Primark make up but Hema is also good and reasonably cheap- the matte lip crayons are excellent value.

The kohl tester was good in terms of it being soft. I tried one nail varnish which was a bit kind of watery though.

I second the highlighter palette and mascara. The brushes are quite good too. Not tried the nail polishes or lipsticks but will do now!

I've got their £2 mascara, it's superb!

Years ago primark did a beautiful matte pink Lipstick which was a dupe of a MAC one, It wore just as well. I have used their other make up but would only really recommend the Lipsticks.

If you are near a superdrug, the MUA or Revolution range of lipsticks are amazing and most are just £1.

I am near a superdrug so can pop in there as well, thanks

RiojaHaze Fri 18-Aug-17 10:09:35

Agree with MUA, their highlighter and eye shadows are amazing.

starkid Fri 18-Aug-17 14:31:19

I use the MUA eyeshadows and lipsticks smile

Am planning a nose at the Primark makeup and beauty range tomorrow so will note some of these suggestions down!
