I dont wear dresses very often, usually jeans and tshirts so I am very outside my comfort zone. Health issues mean trailing round shops trying things on is not an option. So, I am apple shaped, size 14 atm, 5ft 5. Wont be wearing heels. I am 46, and not a fan of bling or chiffon. Still quite like my legs and arms, but not enough to show off both.

I have been looking online, but I am struggling. Friends wedding, and we are invited to the whole ceremony, day and evening....
Help, please!

Should have said, budget around £100, but might push it higher for something amazing. Thank you

You don't need to wear a dress for a wedding. Monsoon do lovely trousers and printed jackets which are fancy enough for a wedding and you can feel relaxed and comfortable. I hate seeing women dressed in frocks when it is obviously not their "thing" and they look miserable.

Search for the Kylie floral print jacket, with some navy/ dark blue lined trousers and a silky vest/shell top?

Would you wear a jumpsuit?

This Warehouse dress is elegant and a good price for a summer wedding

Interesting shape Precis Petite dress (admittedly the colour isn't for everyone)

If you don't mind black this should flatter your waist nicely

Sleeves and good patterning for your body shape

Might not be so short on you as on the model

Good suggestiins thanks. I havent tried jumpsuits yet, not sure they are for me. I like the damsel dress from John Lewis, will give that a try. I found a few from Boden in the sale that might work too. Hopefully all can be worn again....
