Alterity, in Covent Garden

Have been going 3 yrs for mine - they use the organic products so much better for your hair.

Very reasonable prices too.

This isn't a blow dry of your Brazilian, is it?

I went to Rush in Clapham on a Wednesday when Brazilian blowdry is £99. It's fine and will do again. But it was my first time, so I don't have other salons to compare with.

Years ago I went to Dappa Boutique on Chalk Farm Rd and they did a great job. I've had it done a few times since but at different salons and they've not been as good.

That's a third vote for Alterity!

Wow. Lots of votes for them! Can I ask does it leave your hair poker straight? I think I'd still like some body and wave to it.

I also have semi permanent hair dye in which fades with every wash so I have to reapply it. I'd love to still be able to do that as I love the colour. Does anyone know if that's possible with a Brazilian blowdry?

Mine was poker straight after the treatment but once you wash it it regains some body. Mine went wavy rather than curly. I think you can still use colour with it but probably best to ask at the salon.

You can colour your hair but they tell you to wait 2 weeks after the treatment. I found that the treatment stripped the colour from my hair somewhat, leaving it a bit lighter.
Not poker straight, definitely a bit of wave. As it grows it gains more body as the unstraightened roots give it a bit more volume.
