I couldn't pull it off, too pear shaped and dumpy unfortunately, but it's really lovely

it's not awful but I don't like it...
It's very bold!

On the right person it could look great.
I would look like a sad, overweight zebra in it!

I'm not keen on the pattern, it sort of hurts my eyes...

I like the shape and the print but do the pleats do something odd to it?

Report
SleepFreeZone · 28/06/2017 11:42

I like it.

I love it and am thinking of ordering it!

i like it, looks good quality and flattering shape.

It's not awful - in fact I like the shape/cut and given that I normally hate all things animal print with a passion, the print isn't too bad! I probably wouldn't wear it myself, but I wouldn't do a massive double-take if I saw it on someone else.

Shape is good, pattern less so. Look at Lindy Bop for similar (though probably not as heavily discounted)

I think it's lovely but it's one of those dresses that would only look good (IMO)on a taller (say 5'5 or over) women who was size 12/14 or less I think.

Minging. The pattern is way too loud. When even a beautiful model manages to look dumpy you have your answer.

I'm not a fan, I think it needs a tall willowy woman to pull it off. Huge pattern and difficult shape to pull off. Not for me. Even the model doesn't make it look good. Hence your dilemma I suspect.

I would look like a sad, overweight zebra in it! - that made me guffaw.

I am 5.3, size 12, 32HH hourglass figure. Can I get away with it?? I suspect I too would look like a sad overweight zebra Grin

It's the price that's making me think, sod it. Just get it.

I really don't like it at all! Not my cuppa tea.

Report
speedinglight · 28/06/2017 11:56

I thought it would be a love or hate thing.

Except I can't decide if I love or hate it!

All of my clothes have large prints, I love prints. But I can't get the sad overweight zebra image out of my head.

Is it a bit Bette Lynch??

If I wore that, I'd be constantly checking over my shoulder for stalking lions

Report

It's dull, despite the print.

There are far nicer dresses out there.

Squiffanys - Grin

Oh I know there are far nicer dresses out there, I've bought a few today Blush

This isn't even for any occasion, I just saw it there and thought it was a good sale price. Maybe it's a good sale price because its not very nice!!?

I am 50/50

For reference, last year I bought this:

www.bravissimo.com/products/jungle-prom-dress-green-pd554grn/

Its the same shape I think. The shape on me is very flattering and that's another reason I thought the dress might be nice.

But I am slightly worried I'll be mown down at a zebra crossing Confused

It's a lovely shape and would suit an hourglass figure like yours, but I just don't like the pattern. I have an identical shaped dress from Lindy Bop but with a ditsy print, which I personally think is more flattering. But if you like animal print then go for it!

It is a lovely shape, and I know the shape suits me. I am just a bit Hmm at the print...too loud and garish maybe? Such a shame as its such a good price...can't decide Confused
